To be honest, if he was stupid enough to think he could just walk out on a 4 year contract without any issue, then he isn't really the kind of player we need. He would be on his bike as soon as times got a bit tough

Yep, he's defo gone. Didnt cost us a penny as he paid all his own hotel bills etc etc, just that we could have got someone else in instead.

Sorry, got distracted by the Soccerette Didnt spot MJ there yesterday but I'm sure he was. Half of 'em had hats on, so was a bit of a guessing game. Half way thru training Malvin came cycling past, I was waiting for him to fall off Lional had his thigh heavily strapped but looked comfortable in his movement. Gary Roberts came onto the pitch and pretended he'd done his hernia which made me laugh. Definitely a lot of togetherness with them all. Huge 30 man huddle with Blackie to begin. Also laughed at the gaffer taking corners trying to curl them into the net. He came close but didn't score so Glennon offered to show him how to. Was fooking freezing and Boothy and Unsworth were fully lycra'd up.

I wonder why Clark is still towing the "its in the hands of the FA" line, if he has gone back.

Tehoe might really wanna be at town. After all, he has paid his own hotel bills here according to some posters. Maybe he's off on a mission to sort it himself?

Went to watch the lads in training yesterday. Tehoe wasn't there, and according to a retired teacher who was watching with me, Tehoe has 'packed his bags and gone'. Glenda had told him (the teacher) earlier in the week. I didn't think this deal would come off. Players like him always have to much baggage.

Maybe he is in Turkey and has to appear and 'explain himself' so to speak. FIFA may need his point of view in the matter. I don't know how these things work so I'm not reading anything into it.

I've heard from a Turkish lad that a lot of players walk out on Turkish clubs. The most common reason is non-payment of salary. I believe this is what happened here.
He is/was contracted to Konyaspor until 2011.
It sounds like this is the kind of thing that will rumble on and on until we give Konyaspor a 'transfer fee'. Therefore if we do that, we won't see him until the end of season as we're now out of the window.
It was a slightly shambolic situation all round really. You don't announce you've signed a player until you are sure IC will be a formality.
