Scored again last night. Nice to see him getting back to fitness. Seems to be made of glass since he left Huddersfield. Oh what I'd give for a 30goal a season striker at this level again.

I Always liked Pav (seemed to be a bit of a marmite player. You either loved him or hated him!!)
Very much a confidence player but on his day as good as we've had in recent years.

Bad news for them! Can we take him on a free then if they don't pay his wages? like cardiff did with Jenkins? Think he was our top scorer since stewart or booth in the 90's when he 27 in the 04/05 season

I'd have the fella back anyday.
Jacko's mis-management shot his confidence to bits.

Poor bloke, he'll never live down that one mistake.
I'd have him back again tomorrow. Might improve our away record as well.

Well it will take a lot of money to get a striker better than pav was. He scored 50goals for us in just over 100 appearences. How much would it cost for a player like that now? £750k? Unless Novaks the man??

Unless Novaks the man?? The key words. He WAS brilliant for us, i loved him but ever since he left he has for one reason or another never been the same. Lets remember him as he was. As i've said before and as Preston said further up the thread, we have a tendency to live in the past a bit too much. Questions(answer currently not in the past): Abbott or Lambert? Abbott or Cox? Abbott or Graham?

I agree we can live in the past too much sometimes. I'm pretty sure even now though that he'd be better than Jevons and Parker.
Unlike Leon Knight, I'm sure Pav can still come good. Lambert is a good example of a player that has bounced around the lower leagues but is finally beginning to look like he could play at championship level. No reason Pav can't do the same with the right man management.

I don't think it's a case of "living in the past".
The guy was brilliant. Lazy, but brilliant.
Like someone said, he's a confidence player, and if Jacko hadn't have castigated him, then he'd be Championship quality striker no doubt.

Surely he's worth a sneaky bid? I reckon we could get him for £100k?

Pav was brilliant and I really rated him but as I said earlier I just think we need to be looking at better, it was a few years ago now. Clark isn't pinning his hopes on an unproven 19yr old in Novak either, he's got him as potential. It might work, it might not, only time will tell. Clark will buy two strikers in the summer, Hoyle has confirmed as much so lets look forward to who we might get, not who we used to have. Der der der der

Who mentioned Novak? Im talking about the Kid from Everton. How on earth could offer an opinion on Novak? I havent even seen him play. I have however seen Lukas Jutkiewicz and whilst he is promising he is not ready, and certainly not ready for an assualt on the Play Offs. Say what you want about Pawel Abbott, and whilst i odnt necessarily support the idea of having him back, the fact remains that even though he has spent a large slice of last season injured (which he still managed to score 15 goals in) and most of this he has still scored more goals this season than ALL of our strikers.

Pav's pretty much shot - he's had a lot of injuries of which are the type which will prob never go away. He's best left alone.

i'd take a lazy 20 goal season man here, than a hardworking 5 goal a season striker. Problem is at huddersfield, we seem to applaud hard worker over talent/ match winning ability. That's the reason why we've scored 14 goals in 13 games since Lee Clark took over

Questions(answer currently not in the past): Abbott or Lambert? Abbott or Cox? Abbott or Graham? Given what they’d cost, I’d take Pav.
