i just want strikers who can score-i'd say get rid of pretty much the whole strikers dept (except broadbent who hasnt really had a chance yet,and novak who we've bought for the future anyway) boothy will likely retire, parker n jevons arent good enough, lukas is only on loan and moyes has already said dont bother asking for him permanently,so i'd say keep broadbent and novak, and get in another 2-3 strikers if we can get rid of parker n jevons

Is this Carlisle's Graham you're all on about?
If so, he looked pretty poor last week.

What does everyone see in Billy Sharp that I don't see?! I see a player who offers nothing to a decent Championship and has scored a grade total of 6 goals. I mean even Jonathan Stead has scored more goals than him. Granted he did well for Scunthorpe at League 1 level, but that was 2 years ago and he since shown no sign of ever regaining that kind of form. He would probably get us out of this division, but no more. I personally want us to sign someone who will not just be our goal machine getting us out of this division, but someone who will also be prolific at Championship level - something Sharp isn't capable of. Danny Graham (aerial presence with a decent goalscoring record) Paul Gallagher (pacy, intelligent player similar to Marcus Stewart) Jonathan Stead (10 goals for an average team where he has been on the bench a lot and been played out of position every other week - that's not bad going) The last one won't happen, but it's nice to dream though.

I don't think Graham is all that either tbh... He'd be the last one on my list of strikers we've been linked with. Personally I like Simon Cox, he's quick and intelligent and remidns me slightly of Marcus Stewart in how he plays.

Ask any Carlisle fan, Graham isn't an aerial or physical presence. I would have Billy Sharp before Graham every time, he was class at this level

Dont think we need to spend big money on getting a strikeforce together - look how good Crewe's looked (admittedly only against Butler and Clarke) last week
Lukas isnt the answer and wasnt the loan signing we needed at all - why werent we in for Fabian Brandy who was on loan at Swansea last season and has 4 in 4 (i think) now for Hereford?
Why didnt we sign a fucking striker who has actually scored a goal in the last couple of seasons?
I dunno - we have thrown away a decent chance of promotion this season by our complete inability (despite a seemingly open cheque book) to sign any sort of half decent proven goal scorer at any level.
Quite how Ternent and Clark have let this happen, despite signing 14-15 players between them, im not quite sure.
