"Its a conspiracy theory, its all in your heads...."...not many comments like that anymore are there!!!
FFA did a good job getting information to the everyday fan but the adam pearson approach widened the scale and scope and helped FFA open up information to people who hadn't seen or heard it before.
I'd rather have dean hoyle in there, but I don think pearson's bid helped along the way.

I presume that you meant to write "do think" (rather than "don't think"), i.e., the Adam Pearson episode helped to bring things out into the open. I also think KD's rejection of the AP offer was instrumental in getting Dean Hoyle involved, when he saw the no-hope syndrome triggered amongst fans after Davy's rejection.

To clarify, I believ pearson's bid DID help! Agree with your comment re the aftermath as well lepoivre

Anyone who thinks that HDONE will not happen should take a look at the overall picture. It's already started as Kirklees plans are part and parcel of it. HDONE is a project within a greater project and the financial aspects of it may be reduced somewhat as who pays for what comes into play. www.kirklees.gov.uk/transport/ksez/ksez.asp#ksez1

The developers will almost certainly be struggling to ensure the viability and funding for such a large scheme to make it stack up. This is happening on all schemes of this sort of size throughout the country. What this essentially means is that the developer now has to argue a case of being poor, and will cut back on contributions and benefits or attempt to reduce the scale of the initial development through phasing arrangements to cut initial costs where they can.

The 'credit crunch' can't have come at a worse time for those with a significant investment in the HDOne project I'm sure there'll be a lot of pressure on those who pull the strings to ensure that this particular development still continues as planned asap.
