I think we're really clutching at straws there Glos.
I'd like to see Novak recalled and given a go in the last few games of the season, but i'm not sure we can, we have a deal with them.
Denton's gone back to Wakey so clearly he isn't going to make it.
Parker is experiencing the Hartlepool nightlife.
Cads has died.
We're left with Jevons, Boothy and Lukas.
For me, i'd start Boothy down at Stadium MK.

Parker and Boothy would be my choice and send Yuselessvitch back to anywhere. Waste of a wage and practice game for any Junior in the club.

Clark was fuming. He couldn't wait to get Boothy on.

He's had enough chances to get match fit etc and hasn't cut it. Time to go back if cadders /pilkington are ok and boothy has no reaction.
Jevons did fine - and so he would do if some of you on here and many more fans would just give him a chance. He hasn't been cracking of late, I'll give him that, but for the moment, he's the most likely striker we have to score and I suggest we get behimnd him!
Boothy must start, hopefully get 60 mins from him.

I can only agree...he is terrible. If he has health problems...we shouldn't be dealing with it. Send him back to Everton

I think they should make the half time draw prize that you start up front in the next game. Could be some fat, beer-monster, could be an 80 year old granny. Either way, it's worth the risk as the chances are they'll be an improvement on that laughable example of a footballer Clark has snapped up from Everton. In 5 or 10 years time when we're doing the usual 'worst players you've seen in a Town shirt' threads, this Lucas kid is going to be right up there with the Michael Williamses. He's so bad he actually makes Jevons look hungry and up for the fight!!
Seriously though, the total lack of ANYTHING up front has eventually I think, totally demoralised the rest of the team, which could go some way to explaining why almost to a man, they were all so crap yesterday.

Moyes has been sold a patsy and we`ve been the victims of his folly.Send the lazy lanky sod back to Everton with a big kick up his arse

The simple fact is that we have NOTHING as an outlet up front when Lukas is played up there on his tod. The other players seem like they're demoralised as if they beat a man to put a cross in there's nobody there to knock it in....
The cross put in with Lukas strolling towards the box 25 yards out was embarrasing.

What's betting if he is in the squad for the Tranmere game he turns in a blinder, suspect there will be somebody of importance there from The Toffees to see how he is doing.

Send him back to Everton, just like Plymouth did. He is unlikely to score any goals, Boothy was quicker and certainly put in more effort yesterday. There is still 10 games or so left, so get in a striker who can score goals on loan. if we dont the crowds will tail off especially if there are many more pathetic performances like yesterday. Pilks and Robbie Williams were the two who stood out. Hope Pilks is fit for MK on Tuesday and Cads. See you at MK for a much improved performance.

What about the young lad Novak? Can he be called on, after all he has signed for us? We can't because we have an agreement with Gateshead that he stays there until the end of the season!

So, just to summarise, the general concensus of peeps on here is that we still have not solved our striker problem then.

Slapps - Bang on here, Lukas is another in the long line of rank poor options up front. I totally agree with you that the team is losing confidence and shape. This as a result of our midfield looking for goals and the ball not being held up front. We can all moan about this player and that player but had we a decent strike force this team would be so much better. I'll tell you something though Moyes must not only be a good manager but the best con man in the world if he thinks he can get a million for Lukas! It would be the biggest piece of daylight robbery since Joe Royle got Eoin Hand to part with £60k for Cecere!!!
