They might well do, but not with a headline: "A mans [sic] place in Football". It's lame bringing gender into it. I'd hate to be a woman: 1) at all (I am male), and 2) be a woman in the houses of the above posters. All wives and gfriends chained to the sink eh fellas?

She, unlike the ref, had a good game. I'm not sure if the goal was offside or not, cos like her, I was nearer the half way line than where the ball was crossed from.
We've had terrible officials all season - she got more right on saturday than plenty of males have.

It is political Correctness allowing them in the male game. I understand men officiate Women's matches because there is a shortage and because they're not good enough, but it should just be men in men's football. By complaing all of a sudden you become sexist; if a bloke made that decision he would have been slated, but because she is a woman... Pfft.

She was rubbish, two terrible offside decisions that I can remember and she didn't flag for fouls straight in front of her - the ref was garbage but he got no help from his 'assistant'. I don't want to be sexist but I have yet to meet a woman who understands the offside rule (that said, a bloke near me was shouting for an offside from a goal kick). Refs and assistants, where possible, should have played the game at a decent level.

Refs and assistants, where possible, should have played the game at a decent level. Agreed, regardless of gender. But most people who have played the game wouldn't go near the ref's job because they know it's feckless and thankless – what is the latest stat? 7,000 refs quit each year due to intimidation and abuse. I don't blame them. All the shit above that probably gets shouted at the female refs in addition to the regular abuse and it isn't a decent atmposphere to work in

Your all right she was gash, but they are most weeks male or female and we dont normally have a thread dedicated solely to how gash the linesman was.

As a female I`ll say this.I take pride in all I do whether it be my house engineering accomplishments or my life as female in general. My ability to be a knowledgeable football fan who does understand the off-side rule has nothing whatsoever to do with being female. My philsophy on females in football is you have to be as good as the guys in there.Sadly she wasn`t and did herself little credit through her woesome performance. Mind you boy could I rant and rave over the other two officials but I can`t be bothered other than to say they were equally just as poor as she was.

No way was he equally as bad, that referee was by far the worse of the lot! He just made free-kicks up for the sake of it. I've never seen a more blatant push on Boothy in the 2nd half and he gave them the free-kick. It was right in front of us and Clark was going mental asking "whats he seen??" Even Jackett was shaking his head in disbelief. Did anyone else see Clark losing his temper with him? He was completely red in the face and at one point picked up a bottle and wanted to throw it in anger but just managed to control himself before carefully placing the bottle back. Looked like his head was going to burst with pure rage at one point

Have a look at the time I posted the original thread.....I was ever so slightly worse for wear after a few drinks after the game. Add to that how I felt after the game and you might be able to understand why I posted that.
On relection.........the lineswoman wasn't really narking me it was the football authorities. You can't blame her as she has been put in this position and was doing her best. The football authorities seem to want to fast-track certain officials because they fit a certain gender/race/religion/age group rather than their ability. Eg. Uriah Rennie, Gurnam Singh, Stuart Atwell and the lass on saturday.

Driving you to the game, so you can have a few pints with the lads, and then be on hand to pick you up and give you a bit of mclovin'. Been the proceedure for centuries now, so lets keep it that way
