get him back to his own club, hes crap got no desire to be here so i say get shut,i wont cheer him if he plays again, just another nail in clarks coffin, if he plays him bad management, what message does it send out to rest of em It's strong management if you ask me. The easiest thing for Clark to do would have been to come out after the game and say 'He will never kick another ball for the club, he showed me, the players the fans no respect etc etc and sent him back to everton with his tail between his legs. This would have gone down well with the majority of the fans, stampped his authority on the squad and made an example of a player who is not even ours so easier to do. Clark has backed his own judgement that he has seen something in the player and also shown a great deal of humility in coming out straight after the game and saying give the boy another chance don't hang him out to dry. I personally don't rate Lucas but I am prepared to give him another chance.

I mean how demoralizing must it be for a 19 year old to be subject to that even before he's kicked a ball?! After the abuse he received, I'm surprised he even wants to stay at the club. Some say it's warranted, others not. I'm with the latter. I would never subject a single Town player to that sort of criticism. They win as a team, they lose as a team. Other players around him (i.e. defence) did not help matters with their horrendous display.

Who else would you play though? I have to admit that it is extremely strange why he would allow so many strikers to leave the club on loan and persist in playing two players whom are both injury-prone and one who divides the supporters like no-one else has done before.
The only other two alternatives are either playing Pilkington, Ainsworth or Roberts up front, or playing some of the youngsters.

He does not deserve another chance. This has nothing to do with his tantrum. He has been poor in EVERY game since Leeds, he is only on loan; we have 8 games to see what OUR OWN players can do. Send the arrogant little twit back whence he came.

If he can show his discontent for being subbed, I can show my discontent for him being lazy and shi*t!
Send him back and give some of the youngsters a run out!

Saturday's game is in the past now. If Clark still feels Lukas has something to offer then that's fair enough. As others have said, booing the lad before he's even kicked a ball (or strolled aimlessly down the pitch with his head down) is completely pointless and would achieve nothing constructive at all, but personally, I'm in the "send the lazy muppet back to Everton and look at what we've already got" camp.
I'd throw Broadbent & Denton into the mix for the last few games to give them the valuable experience they need. They may appear a little raw and rusty at first but I'm sure they'd do ok.

Boo the whole team if you like but NEVER a single player, i have never done it. I remember being totally embarrassed at Shrewsbury away in the 80's when Dave Cowling was subjected to individual abuse.
Whether you like him or not, Clark's opinion is the only one that matters. If he's picked, he's a Town player and should not get any single abuse from the crowd just for playing badly. Doesn't help the team, which is what really matters, does it?

Booing him only affects his performance don't see how, we're yet to see him perform or put any effort in, and that was without any booing, so its hard for him to get any worse cos of some booing/chanting

Never acceptable booing an individual player. Boo the team if you have to, but don't pick on individual players. Not fair nor constructive at all in any way, shape or form.

never said that by my logic booing him is acceptable (certainly made my feelings known though)-if he showed some effort, passion, desire, commitment etc, i don't think he'd have got such a bad reaction on saturday (thats why kamara for example rarely gets booed, as although hes not that good, at least he tries, whereas i've seen grass put more effort into growing than i've seen effort from lukas since he joined the club, and the fans quite rightly won't tolerate a lack of effort-a lack of ability can be forgiven, a lack of fitness can be forgiven if coming back from injry, but a lack of effort is absolutely unforgivable)

I believe that if we were to send him back, he would be ineligible to play for any other club this season, so yeah, why not wipe the slate clean.
Next match is away, where the support tends to be better. I won't be going, but hopefully the support will be a bit more encouraging!

Why is there any talk about giving Lukas another chance? What's the point? Leopards do not change their spots. If Clark picks him again this season, then I seriously question his ability to be a successful manager. I'm afraid I'm rapidly losing faith in this much hyped management team.

I couldn't care less about him chucking the top at Clark. If anything its a positive sign as at least it shows the boy has an ounce of passion , pride and aggression in his body. It would have been a far worse sign if he'd just meekly gone and sat on the bench after being subbed half an hour in. That really would have been his character hung out to dry.
But I don't ever want to see him in a Town shirt again, because hes simple the sh**test, lazyest, crapest footballer we've ever had. Hes not worthy to put that shirt on and represent us. I hope Clark ups his game in the summer when it comes to signing strikers!

Might as well play him, we've nothing else upfront and it's no lose for us. He can score some goals which will help us finish strongly or he can do bugger all and we can just send him back and forget all about him. Broadbent will be leaving at the end of the season and Denton may well never be good enough for the first team so no real point in "blooding" them.

he might have appologised for his conduct, so maybe he deserves a clean slate.
But to win back the fans he needs to show some heart and graft a bit.

He hasnt personally appologised. Clark has just said he has, Clark could be bullshitting to appease the fans either way, if clarke plays him, he must have seen something about him. i say final chance, ill give him a full 90 mins to impress. after all i expect a game to show us what he can do after the other day. You'll give him 90 mins to impress. That'll take about 3 games for him to do!! Send him back now for me. He offers nothing and he's gonna offer nothing. He's clearly got some fitness problems so why are we taking him on board while he sorts it out. Get rid and give one of the younger Town players a chance. I'll get behind him if he plays but i'd rather he didn't

Can they really be any worse than Lukas?? Really?? At least they'd relish the chance of playing in the famous blue & white stripes!

Can they really be any worse than Lukas?? Really?? At least they'd relish the chance of playing in the famous blue & white stripes! My thoughts also, playing for Town should be a massive honour and priviledge - sadly that seems to be lost on Lucas! I'd rather Broadbent or Denton ... or even Fagan got given the chance You never know unless you give these guys a decent run - they are more of Town's future than Lucas IMO What I will say is that even if Lucas scores 10 between now and the end of the season it's unlikely he'll be here come August - so unless Everton are paying us, just what is it in for Huddersfield Town Football Club in developing him! Pointless exercise IMO and as has been said also divisive, I can see now Town fans arguing on the terraces on Saturday when (as I'm sure he will) he starts and the "give him another chance" and the "not at my club" camps collide!
