Andy Booth won a contribution to club award LMAO I think he earned it more than won it. Were there any other contenders for this award?

To be fair he's played pretty well in the last few games, but Nathan Clarke should have got the main award. No arguments with the others though.

Average today, though know worse than anyone else, but I thought he had really good games against Scunthorpe and Walsall, after a shocking couple of months.

For any Charlton fans reading...PARKER SHOULD OF WON! For the effort alone he has put in he should have walked this award, that's before you even consider the goals he's scored. It's a downright fix!

Just seen official site, my info came by way of a text from my brother who was working at stadium.
Gary Roberts - Golden Boot award??? So if Collins scores 2 next week does he have to give it back?

The most astonishing thing from the official site is that Lionel Ainsworth was apparently nominated for young player of the year. No really... www.htafc.com/page/CommercialDetail/0,,10312~1639560,00.html

The 'Media Player of the Year'
I bet Michael Collins will never forget this one. The effort he's put in to being available for interviews is second to none. Thoroughly deserved.

No arguments with the others though. For what Being consistantly crap, once again yesterday our two central defenders stood around like plantpots and gave Brighton 2 goals on a plate, Letting the goalscorer rise unchallenged from a corner in our own 6yrd box is both unbelievable and unforgivable, to be honest I would expext 12yr olds to be more organised than that pathetic display of defending and the less said about our pathetic central defenders attempts at defending for the 2nd goal the better. The number of cheap goals given away by our central defenders inability to defend this season is embarassing. Clarke simply isn't up to it and if we're being serious about a top 6 finish next season Tom and his sister Vera (how bad was he yesterday) should not and I repeat NOT be playing 1st team football. If Clarke and Roberts are our best performers over the season then it's easy to see why we're a mid table side.

See, this is what happens when you turn the end of season awards into a corporate event. At the end of the day it's not the integrity of the awards that counts it's how much money the club can rake in.
For what it's worth my Goal of the Season should go to Parker for the cracker he scored down at Leicester. POTY probably should go to Roberts although Nat Clarke has improved a hell of a lot this season and been more consistent, likewise with Collins but I guess in a season of inconsistency and mostly mediocrity then no one has really stood out.

It was a decent night though - Terry Mac was the worse for wear by about 8pm as was Lee Clark. I would have thought Nathan Clarke was POTY although the best of an average/ bad bunch...
Roberts won goal of the season for the one against Hereford on 20 December if it isnt on the official site.....

Shame there isn't a 'Wrong Post of the Year' award. id still give it to preston's ' Stan will definately be here in January and will turn it around' effort but Shelley has run it close with this nonsense.

I dunno Captain - "Glennon is the best keeper outside the Premiership" "Holdsworth is not a rightback" " There were no strikers we could have signed in January (in place of Lukas and Tehoue" " God help us if we signed Lloyd Owusu (on loan)" Llouyd Owusu having scored 6 in 6 and 14 in 28 this season! "All we need is a striker and we would be promoted" Haha there are alot more candidates for that particular accolade....! ;D

"Nathan for England" is that better Mister Slapper. Probably "right post of the year" but the poor old fans of Tom and Vera Clarke don't want to face up to reality and admit how bad these two really are.

That's what I thought as well. Smithies should have come out and taken that corner as well as everything in his way. The chances are that he'd have been given a free kick anyway as 'keepers as so heavily protected. Had that been Matt Glennon standing glued to his line we'd have never heard the end of it.

Not really wanting to get into the 'blame someone else' culture, but sometimes it seems like let's blame the easy targets first!! I was half expecting someone to critisise Williams for not being more accurate with his shooting!!!

Well, after watching him put in excellent performances consistantly throughout the season, I am a little reluctant to admit how bad he is! I wonder if Man Utd have an equivalent poster on their site slating Ferdinand?

Nathan Clarke, has improved this season. BUT and its a big 'but': he is TOO SLOW. He needs someone with pace to play alongside him. Whenever he is up against pace he just falls to pieces. I would also say he needs to get a bit stronger, as Owusu completely raped him at the weekend, as did Delroy not long ago for Gillingham.
For me, our defence next season should include Clarke OR Butler; but not both together. I would love to see us sign someone like Sam Sodje, but i dont think it will happen.
