Cycle ride to first away game, he was cycling around the stadium gravel....... said if its exeter away it will take him 4 days ! Well he has only got short legs. Fair play to them for taking on the challenge, not only will he raise money for the charity but it will work wonders for the image of the club. Most chairmen are obsessed with greed, but Deano is all about giving it back to those that need it, no doubt that is partially what inspired him to buy the club. I just hope he sticks around for a long time. He's a revelation at Town.

Why is it STILL gravel by the way?
The Galpharm has a wide surround – large enough for vehicles – and requires continual maintenance, particularly when wet. “The resurfacing of the pitch surround will make a big difference to the overall visual presentation and pitch-side safety.“These improvements are part of our constant drive to provide the best possible experience for fans, opposing teams and visitors when they come to the Galpharm.” John O’Donnell, director of project contractors said, "We hope that the fact that we can demonstrate how to convert a maintenance headache into a potential source of revenue will be attractive to other stadium owners.”
And then they just seemed to give up after that first stretch on the Riverside side of the pitch??

I wondered about this too. It is notoriously hard to get someone to tarmac a drive though.

Thought it'd been longer than that! He's in the studio on Look North tonight, so lets hope for more coverage, all good news and commercially good for town.

Also on Radio Leeds (92.4FM) at about 5.45pm, so I'd imagine he'll get more time on there than just 90secs or so

Says it'll take 3-4 days to get down there, we've sold nearly 11k season tickets, going over the reasons for why they're doing the bike ride, details of where/how to donate etc, his first thought when he saw the fixtures was fright
