This is it about Leeds that makes me laugh - the complete lack of reality! Who are their rivals? It's Us, Oldham, Stockport, Hartlepool etc etc.
Still didn't we adopt Barcelona as our new rivals a while? Hate those diago bassers! ;D

Where do they get this 'tin pot' rubbish from? We should be 'paint pot' to them!

The point is Leeds fans in this area will probably hate Hudders as they live in the same places. However, a huge percentage of their fans (I remember reading once the biggest in the premiership) live outside Yorkshire, ie down south, Dublin, Scandinavia etc. They will have no or little knowledge about Hudders and will probably never think about them apart from when they are playing against them.

Thats a very good point which I never took into consideration. Obviously the 'out of Yorkshire' fans would not have a clue about us or our history. However, the l**ds fans I went to school with (left in '73) hated us then as they hate us now in Hecky and Liversedge. A l**ds fan from Liversedge will tell you ( if they are honest ) that they hate us more than manure!!!!!

You'd have to be slightly on another planet to not see the irony in hating someone for "thinking we hate them".
That is the majority of the waccoers also. The average IQ on waccoe must be about 20.
The fact that they DO hate us is only a sign of how far they have fallen though, and not that we have risen.
I also find it a bit annoying when every game we have a lot of anti-Leeds chants. Fair enough have a couple if thats what they want to chant but when Leeds say that our fans are more focussed on hating them than supporting Town, I would have to agree in some cases.

Its catch 22 I suppose.....we sing songs about them cos we see their attitude toward us.......they hear the songs and assume we think of them as big rivals......they belittle us for thinking of them as rivals......we hear that and sing songs about them......etc etc etc etc etc

As much as the next Town fan I dislike Leeds' thought process that they are the big dogs of the English league and deserve to be the best. The anti-Leeds chants don't make me want to join in though as it doesn't contribute to our own cause. Each to their own though I guess though... some people probably like to chant about Leeds

hmm has it exactly right...to Leeds fans living in and around Huddersfield ( yes there are many) you are and to me always were our main rivals even when we weren't in the same division..as someone schooled and living in Hudds the daily banter is part of my everday life, most of it good natured..the acid test is comparing a Leeds victory over Hudds to (admittedly a long way past) a victory over Manure..to me just as important...Recent games bragging rights are with you , 2 recent seasons league positions bragging rights are with us ...simples !

Excuse me I'm born & bred in Hull what's wrong with the place? I jumped ship from one of the country's most successful ever Premier league clubs after getting hooked on Town. Can someone please tell me where the Huddersfield Town Bandwagon is parked I've not found it after 8 years of looking However, I feel like I've been sat on one of these for that period of time

'Huddersfield. Vomit. They're like the smelly kid at school who comes back to laugh at you when they beat you in a maths test. Odious.' Magic! Although in a certain way, they do have a point. I'm too young to even consider Leeds as a main rival, but I do think it's a little excessive that every game, we start singing the anti-Leeds songs. I can understand the older, more seasoned Town fans possibly considering them as rivals. My most hated team/place is Barnsley. Disgusting, little town. In our division, I think it has to be Leeds. Some of their supporters (as seen on Waccoe) are like Neanderthals. i hate barnsley too i think the man spat in my cheese burger when we went to the playoff semi over there and some fans ran at us...before the game
