Attacking wingers who aren't afraid to run at the defence are always gonna be a big influence in games. With us having more and more competition for places, Roberts is another one who will have to be at the top of his game if he wants to start week in week out. I hope he can start delivering corners like he was doing at the start of last season. He put some real belters in. Big hopes for him next season!

i think he`s class, and he must be a right bast*rd to play against, and you cant expect him to be in the game all the time theres 22 players on the pitch if my maths are correct

reminds me of lauren robert some days ace the next not even in the game also people are saying he was ace the first part of the season and tailed of that shows he has it so its just up to LC to get it out of him and maintain it in him. You've got to think on that when Roberts arrived Town fans hadn't seen a player capable of taking on a player and beating him on a premenant basis for about 3 years so he did look exceptional. It's a bit like when i was shagging Julia Roberts? The 1st 2 or 3 occasions were great but then it was "not now Julia dear". Lets take Roberts for what he is ...A very good player at this level over a season.

I thought he was player of the season with over 10 goals and 10 assists.
And we're questioning him?
Yes, he wasn't as ''noticeable'' in the second half, he needs to use his right foot more etc, but if he was in the game 90 mins, made the right decision every time etc he'd have twice the goals and assist he had last season and wouldn't be with huddersfield town in league 1.
Let the wide players compete for their places.

On bench at best for me,not as good as Pilks or Ainsy(if his heads right). how the hell do you think that ainsworth on what he has shown so far for us is better than roberts? unbeliveble!!!! Simple mate'I dont rate Roberts.I dont think he's half as good as he thinks he is

I'm a big fan of Roberts, I know he wasn't as good in the second half of the season, but I don't think he deserved some of the questioning he got on here. He can dribble, shoot (perhaps we'lll never be able to claim he's 2 footed ), cross & is a clever footballer. IMO he's very important to our team.

Roberts needs to fire some more shots at goal. Loads of times last season when he cut inside and could have had a shot from distance but he always pissed about trying to beat another player and then mesing it up Decent player, and as already said I think he looked better than he is at the start of the season due to everyone else being so poor. He's got a massive part to play this season though and will have to work hard for his place in the starting 11. If I were Clark i'd be considering playing Pilks in the "Gerrard" role just behind Simpson. With Ainswoth and Roberts on't wing, Collins pushing up from the centre and Kay sitting to break up counter attacks

Pilks would be ideal in the Gerrard role,if we had a Torres up there with him

He shows a real touch of class sometimes and does some clever things. But I felt last season he was mentally sometimes in front of players and so he couldn't be at his best; then he seemed to lose confidence. I think with better players around him he will shine. I agree totally. I said it in the Arsenal game (first time I saw him play) his 1 touch passes were often great ideas but the rest of the team just weren't on the same quick thinking level.

can see it from both sides tbh, on his day he can be superb and torments defences. He drifts in and out in too many games. I still think he deserves a first team place unless we really do sign a few more top players.....

I've said it before and I'll say it again Roberts's form dropped after Christmas due to him having a new born baby' that cane from inside the playing staff! (I aren't saying it again) his form did pick up again near the back end.
Also no I beleive that photo is swindon at home and he hit the crossbar? He can hit them with his right which makes it more frustrating when he refuses to
