If you haven't seen any of Amores Perros, Tell No One and Amelie then your missing out big time. So watch em! Watch em NOW! You hear me? What you waiting for? Forget everyone else's recommendations, just watch those three and you can thank me later
I've just put in Amores Perros on the LOVEiLM search (usually quite good) and it's drawing a blank. I'll have to keep my eyes open for that one.
The other two have been dutifully added. Tell No One looks great... as does Rothwell's Let The Right One In!
Manc, your T-shirt image has only just come up... brilliant!
Seen City of God (fantastic!) and Eraserhead (fantastic... and weird!)
Would you believe, they asked me if I'd be interested in being in Dog Soldiers after I'd made ID. Read the script, thought it was garbage and said 'no thanks'... more fool me, eh!
Have you ever seen "The Game" with Michael Douglas? Watched it not so long back and thought it was brilliant. Really dark and strange but all makes sense in the end.
Oh, and whoever said about Purely Belter, its very funny in parts. Love it when he pretends to be a blind man and tries on some new shades in the shop whilst looking in the mirror, then goes to steal from a book shop ;D

Foreign films I recommend, some already mentioned, do you even like foreign films as this thread is going quite anti-hollywood?
Tell noone Timecrimes (nice quirky story) Let the right one in (bit arty but brilliant, loads better than Twilight or twiglets!) Infernal Affairs (Departed was the Hollywood remake, Scorcese won an oscar for copying ) Seven Samurai (legendary but long) The orphanage Kung fu Hustle (found this very funny along with shaolin soccer)
Will look into my dvd collection to see if I have forgotten any.

Misery is fantastic. Used to watch loadsa of Stephen King horror films with my mum when I was younger and Misery was the only one that got to me. Kathy Burke is immense in that. She freaks me out, amazing performance!
Oh forgot to add PI, but it gave me a real headache watching it..in a good way!
