Given this is gaining momentum, shouldn't the club make a stand?
Why don't they simply refuse to sell tickets for Sheffield U and the Board refuse to attend the fixture.
Deano / Jackass is one of us, surely he knows this is just taking the p*** out of the common supporter.
I remember years ago at Grimsby for (I think) a Freight Rover game Keith Hanvey + the directors were on the terrace regarding (I think nowhere near certain) concessions.
Surely this is an even more important issue.

I seem to remember our chairman paying for the difference in tickets for away fans out of his own pocket? Anyone remember the game?

I seem to remember our chairman paying for the difference in tickets for away fans out of his own pocket? Anyone remember the game? MK Dons, as I think we charged them more than the home fans (by a considerable margin due to a deal that was on for home fans), and the deal in place that night should've included away fans (at least that's what I think the FL said, or something similar).

Scandal. Was going, but almost certainly not now. That there's a disclaimer on the OS ticket page about it (re. League rules) says that they don't feel happy about it either.
And that was MK Dons - theirs paid £20, and ours £7. He refunded theirs who had bought beforehand and altered the price at the turnstiles. Only 105 of them, though, rather than potentially thousands.

This is really short sighted of SUFC. If they charged £20 then there is every chance of us selling loads of tickets. At £27.50 it crosses the line big time, leaves a bad taste for us the loyal support and further reinforces the view that football is no longer the game for the people, just the well off.
No one wins here.
Hoyle should have a word with his couterpart at Bramall Lane and the football league need to provide some guidance here.
Also, if none of us show up, there is much less pressure on the players so we're bound to win!

As it is I doubt we'll take 2000

Whack the game on the wireless over the speakers at Canalside, get a few down there, all the money goes to Town.

i wont pay that to watch 3rd div football, i arnt going , so my lad isnt and i very much doubt my part timer mate wont either, so thats 3 adults that are telling sufc to go and f**k themselves. for what its worth i am not too happy at paying £23 at home either for 3rd rate football . {season ticket dosnt stack up cos of other commitments } i average 15 home and 10 away time to take a stand
