and 20 k a week and cant cut it in the prem long term appointment for me Don't think we need to worry about the Premier League yet... Although, I also don't think Warnock's been given enough of a crack at the Premier League for anyone to conclude he can't cut it. not just basing it on the two times he s failed mate

Shocking time to sack a manager. Too late for a new guy to do anything and a bunch of naffed off players. 3 defeats in 55...Hoyle will be the laughing stock of the football league...nobody will want the job after that imo loan market mate!

I hope so as I had a few quid at LC going to Leeds at 4/1 on skybet. He's 4/6 now. Maybe and it's pure speculation from my part that DH found out that LC has been in secret talks with Leeds to get the job and maybe LC had played a similar trick with the Leicester job (and we have never looked right ever since), so Deano give him the chop.

As long as its not Warnock. Lets get someone in who can get the lads playing football, but with some organisation and a plan. Warnock is yesterdays man, and there are some on here who seem to think he is the Messiah, i.e. guaranteed promotion. Whatever happens now, its still got to be part of a plan for the longer term future of the club, and Warnock would be going backwards. Agree with you about Warnock-respect him as a motivator but I think he has shown himself to be a bit naive tactically with QPR this year.

You've lost 3 games in 30 and are sitting 4th in the league, what a ridiculous decision to make at this time of the season plus what a horrible way to sack someone after he has put his heart in to your job.
Shame as he's a decent man and deserved better

Lee Clark will turn up somewhere else and be able to show everyone what a good manager he is. He might well do, but that's what football is about. Lee took us as far as he possibly could, and in the end ultimately it just wasn't working. It was for the better of the club and i'm rather happy about it, but i'd just like to echo some of the positive comments above, thanks for all the effort Lee and good luck for the future. Although i thought a change had to be made i wish Lee and all his staff the best we have to move on

I am sad he wasn't given until the end of the season to prove himself one way or the other but whilst it isn't a nice thing to do I do hope that Dean Hoyle has approached whoever he thinks will get us over the finishing line this season before sacking Clark. Good luck Lee and thanks for all your hard work.

Can't believe the opening line on the second paragraph in that article: "The 39-year-old has been sacked after four successful years at the Galpharm Stadium" How on Earth can you call it a success? He wasn't tasked with keeping us in League 1, he was meant to get us promoted!

Why are folk so worried. Don't wish any ill will on the man or his management team that have been given the boot, but their severance pay will make most people's eyes water...
All the best Clarkie, not quite there and maybe it'll give you an incentive to show your talent elsewhere?
Lets not have a 600 page meltdown when the next Mgr is announced either...

I think all these reports on how the media seem shocked at the sacking suggest that to the outside world, Clark is seen in a good light, which should hopefully mean he won't be out of work for too long (I like the guy and think he has potential; I respect him for what he did for this club on and off the field). Didn't achieve what we wanted but as long as we get promotion this year it's probably for the best.

Hi, MK Dons fan here on peace. I must say that, despite the large amount of support on here, I couldn't believe the news when I heard it. Despite some of your negative views of LC, look where you are in the League. 4 points off automatic spot for Gods sake! I'd swop positions with you. Have the club forgotten your 43 game unbeaten run? Do you expect a new manager to hit the ground running and improve on your present form? There must be something going on we don't know about. Maybe LC's been talking to LU as some rumours suggest. Anyway, water under the bridge now. It's done. For what it's worth, I'd get McCarthy in pronto. Good Yorkshire lad, straight bloke. That's if he'd drop two divisions, of course. Good luck

Do you expect a new manager to hit the ground running and improve on your present form? Our current form is 17 points from 12 games. Until last night we had a realistic chance of automatic although most were already resigned to the play-offs. Clark's play-off record is played 5 won 0.

The writing has been on the wall since the times of Plymouth/Walsall last season. There have been a few good performances between then and now but far too many awful ones and way too many draws where we failed to try and win the match.

I've been informed Clark has not been sacked due to results but for something else.... breach of contract supposedly...

We certainly won't be missing Terry McDermott.
2 yrs ago, how the hell did he allow Lee Clark to play virtually all of the second half against 10 man Hartlepool who put their only striker in midfield with our back four positioned all across the halfway line with no-one to mark for the whole of the 2nd half.
That game will stay with me till I die

You have a game in hand of Wednesday which would put you third. Wed. and Utd. play each other next week. They can't both win. Auto's easy achievable. Be positive. As for us, we're stuck with PlayOffs, if that.
