LCs record on paper can be seen to be very impressive, however the statistics only show half of the picture as has been said many a time over the last few days. Unfortunately, the press have latched onto the stats part of the situation like a dog with a bone. Even some highly regarded footballers have commented on the same, and you would think they would know better.
The problem is that stats are historic by their very nature; they have happened. If all we ever do is look backwards we soon stumble and fall. To get to our goal we need to be looking forward at how we are performing and what we need to do.
LC failed recently on two counts; getting us promotion and delivering good football to watch. Perhaps combining the two at Huddersfield is too much to ask? Our expectations are way too high at times.
For me, this is where NW can make a difference. We have the squad to be able to do this and he knows how to get out of this division. His way may not be to provide pretty football at this level, but it will be about commitment.
As a Town fan for 35 years, commitment is something that the faithful followers of this club appreciate more than anything else. Players going in for challenges, reading the game, supporting their colleagues. It is that level of commitment that gets the atmosphere going which in turn spurs the players on even further.
If we have total commitment for the next 16 games from every player, we will go up in the automatic spots. WIth that commitment will come injuries I am sure, but we have a strong squad.
We need a leader to install that commitment in our squad.
Neil, we are waiting for you.

The most impressive stat is the 44 signings since Jan 2009. Now that must be some sort of record?

Anyone starts spouting statistics about football, just point out that Arsenal had 67% possession last night.
You have to WATCH football to understand it, you can't comment objectively based on some numbers in a table.

Unfortunately, 99% of the whole footballing world will think the club is stupid. tbh if the 1% are from Huddersfield who's bothered? DH has made the decision based on more than we will know. As long as we remain united and support the Town for these last 16/19 games then we've still got a great chance of going up, if we go up the 99% wiil then realise that DH made the right decision.

As I said before the so called "experts" didn't have to watch that dirge week in week out.If they did then maybe they would concur that Clark was not upto the job.
