Up on official site now www.htafc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10312~2741086,00.html I thought Field might get a deal as I liked the look of him in the few games I've seen of the youth team

Anyone know what has happened to Hatib Cham? Thought he might have been mentioned more this year after being on bench at end of last season?

Congrats to Izzy Johnson. A lad I know well, coached him and he played with my son.
Brilliant attitude, lovely parents and lightening fast!

You heard something mate? Massive shame if true. Would have definitely have given him a 3rd year, like Adam Field was.

Good luck to the lads who've been given pro deals.
Bit sad for Josh Windass, technically he was really decent but has had a lot of injuries.

Thought so, but still thought it would have been mentioned somewhere, unless I've missed it of course. Shame for him and all the other lads released. But on a positive note, congratulations to the four that have been offered pro deals to go with Crooks and Allinson. Quantity doesn't necessarily mean quality, but must be a good sign that we've signed six Academy players up in contrast to the one we signed up last year in Greg Pearson. Well done lads!

On the Hatib Cham senario he is def a first year, as if you look on the website he is listed as a first year, so i cant see him being released yet. Like has been said before he has been injured.
I also thought Dominic Dickinson had looked good when i had seen them play a few times. With Josh Windass i think he has been unlucky with injuries which has been his problem i think maybe he should of been offered a third year and see how he developed then with no injuries.

I think Cham was in his second year at Town, as he was a Town schoolboy last season just like Johnson. This season however, Cham signed on as a scholar, while Johnson stayed as a schoolboy. They had both served their two years in the academy.

Find it very strange the whole Hatib Cham situation. If he has been released, why hasn't this been reported by the club given that he made the first team squad last season.
And if he hasn't been released, why are the club refusing to answer questions regarding the issue?
Something fishy going on here...

Happens all the time mate, youth players seem to make a great leap forward at a young age and can quite often go backwards. Doni Clarke a few years ago looked like he was going to be a class act at 15/16 and ended up never making it pro either... All I know about Cham is that he hadn't featured almost at all for the best part of a year due to injuries.
