Remember after our last play off final win at this level we signed BR best player Marcus Stewart, so why not raid Sheff Utd for their best. They must be skint

Just enjoy the summer folks. Town are now a much more attractive proposition - Grayson and Dean Hoyle will sort the team out and we can come back safe in the knowledge that they've now got 46 games in a higher division to test out whatever that team may look like. The potential reward at the end of next season is beyond most folks comprehension... The mental strength shown on Saturday was something I honestly thought we didn't have but maybe something finally slotted into place & hopefully the success will trigger further belief throughout the club... So don't get down if we sell Rhodes, don't set your expectations ridiculously high if we keep Rhodes and strengthen further with some remarkable signings... Just enjoy the moment, chill and let our fantastic club take care of itself - it's been a long time since we've been here, football has changed massively since our last stint at this level but (share saga aside) we're probably better equipped off the field than we've ever been... But by all means, speculate like hell in true DATM fashion...

What about fitz hall? (best name/chant ever)
Qpr have said he can leave.
My list so far:
Fitz Hall Morrison McGuire Lowton Quinn
I know there's three sheff Utd players there but lowton the rb made the league one team of the year an has even raved about all year, hunt worries me defensively so I would be keen to get this young lad and possibly try hunt in rm. Their cb McGuire looked so mature and composed hard to believe he's 19, shackled Rhodes brilliantly all game, also been good all season do not a one off performance.
Quinn he made it look ridiculously easy at times.

I'd go for the following;- - Stephen Quinn - Marlon Pack - George Boyd - Hary Maguire - Sean Morrison - Benik Afobe (loan) - Shaun Derry - Jack Butland (loan) - Darius Charles - Simon Church - John Carew (ambitious) - Abdoulaye Faye - Ian Black Not to sign them all but we need some build, strength and that bit of class about us to cope in the Championship. Didn't Ian black get shot at wembley accidentally after Gerry block hired a hitman to kill Louis amour rodriguez? Don't think Black would sign

Beckford will be on 20K plus a week I would imagine and his attitude stinks. A complete non starter to me.
Possibilities for me
Grant Mcann Sean Morrison or Mackenzie (MK) Keep Jordan George Boyd Daniel Powell

I think cox may be going to Celtic. May be ambitious but I'd try get rudi skacel he's out of contract. Deffinetly go for whitbread, McCann and Maybe Boyd. Need a striker like simeon jackson too.

Not Delph, injury prone and not proven except at league one level and even then it was a poor league one.
Not sure about McCann I would have had him in league one but he's played in championship twice and looked weak, an after being one of the first names on their team sheet he has been dropped from the first XI

Quality young player.

We need to be looking better than that-we've got a manager who can sign real quality at this level. I just can't watch him play as a lone striker ever, ever again.

He did a fantastic job playing as lone striker for us, those who pitched up just for the playoffs however will have seen probably just his worst match in a Town shirt. 2. When he played up front with Rhodes they had the makings of a possibly great partnership, that's what I'm thinking. Afobe doing the leg work and creating chances with Rhodes tucking them away.

While I agree that Benik was class, I think that Novak can do the job that you just described. Especially if Grayson and co can work on improving his finishing over Summer.

I appreciate your opinion however i can't agree. Slow, bad touch and missed a hat full of chances. I still find it frightening that he was the spearhead of our attack in the biggest game of our history.

...from SG's comments on the OS it sounds like he wants to really mould his own squad - the promotion is clearly amazing, but I get the impression he feels like he has literally just come in and done it with someone else's squad (well, i guess he did...)
I reckon there will be major movement over Summer, and definitely some Leeds and Ex Leeds lads coming to us.....

Jason Puncheon seems to have made his peace at Saints. Not released by them. So little chance.
Brilliant one day - frustrating the next. The problem is he showed his brilliance against Town.
