They often seem to throw up a promoted v. relegated team on the first day...Blackburn away is my prediction.

No doubt it'll be something really anti-climactic like Bristol City away. Loads of local fixtures next year though, we might actually see more than 100 away fans!

Last game of the season I would like at home against Peterborough with them needing to win to stay up and we win and send them down now that would be sweet revenge for old Trafford

As I said on a another thread, its gonna be Peterborough, which would be a winnable start.

Just on the subject of the fixtures, remember that some local games may kick off early due to police advice (thinking Leeds especially), but clubs also have 7-10 days I think it is to request any date or kickoff changes, plus I'd guess that by mid July at the latest we'll know if and when we're going to be on TV, as the games for upto the end of October/November should be announced by then.

Please not any of Cardiff, Millwall, Crystal Palace, Charlton or Bristol City away as an opening fixture.
I'd quite like a start against either Burnley or Barnsley. A reasonable test, without starting against one of the favourites.
We'll probably end up with Watford away, although the fixture computer may be devilish and send us to Peterborough.

Away at a fairly local ground we haven't played at in a while. Middlesbrough would be my first choice.

Notts Forest away. I'm looking to that more than most, not entirely sure why. Proper club with real history I suppose. A local derby at home would be good though - Barnsley maybe?

How about Ipswich away with Rhodes hitting them for a hattrick

A yorkshire or Lancashire team, home or away because it will generate a big crowd with it being a new season, derby match and with us getting promotion

For my own personal ease of getting there it'd have to be Forest away for me. It would also be a genuine opportunity for getting points on the board, Forest still looking in a bit of a mess and decent players likely to be leaving in the summer.

Worth noting that our first game of the season will be the week commencing August 13th, with a league cup game (obviously if it wasn't for the olympics, we'd have played at least 1 league game before the league cup game, but there we go).

Think the last time we played them was on Valentines Day a few years ago, freezing cold Tuesday night, a temporary stand, wind, rain, even hail at times if my memory is right.
