Brave decision with regard to the current climate of unemployed footballers. Admirable that he aspires to be an actual "footballer" though. Hope he gets sorted out.

I wonder what the ridiculous tribuan would be? I bet they would rate a Man Utd apprenticeship far more than at a lower league team.
Div 2 to Man Utd = c.£200k?? Man Utd to Champ = c£.5m+?
I wouldn't trust the sleazy, protectionist chumps to give a fair value to anyone against a greedy league team.

Depends on cost - as others say we might get done over in the tribunal.
However, apparently did a cracking job for Cov City, good attitude & obviously has ability. Try to come to some arrangement with Man Utd, see what sort of fee they'd be after & take it from there.

In these circumstances Man Utd are very good at "settling out of court" so to speak. This involves quite a low upfront fee, but with sell on clauses up to the 40% limit on profit + appearance and "progression" clauses.
Good for both sides

I'll be very surprised if those are the only teams in for him. Good young player, I think we stand a chance though based on Graysons first 2 signings

It looks like Buttercup might be re-signing for us, so not sure how much we need Norwood. If the front six are.......
LW: Jim O Brien/Done. RW: Kelvin Etuhu. CM: Buttercup??? CM: Dawson/Mellis/Perkins. ST: Mido. ST: Davies and possibly Frutas from Pompey.

This thread closely resembles the one about Donal McDermott last close season - just saying!

Would be going for experience if possible, the lads talented no doubt but unproven at this level

Good for both sides Yup I've heard Man U are quite good at making the smaller deals happen to further a lads career too. They even paid out a decent sum (not much in the grand scheme of things, but significnst for a junior club, cant remember if it was 1k or 2k) to the club Danny Drinkwater joined them from at age 9 (that they had no obligation to do) when he signed on loan for Town, as a "reward for the part they'd played in developing Danny as a kid"...plus a hand written letter direct from Fergie.

As despite seeing him play in midfield, listening to him refer to himself as a midfielder and him being listed as a midfielder on every website in the world I still wasn't sure! Any other pearls of wisdom?
