No disrespect to Brighton, but why on earth would Rhodes want to go there? They are in the same boat as us, have the same chance as us of promotion and he'd be moving 300 miles from home. Doesn't make sense They are ambitious, progressive, have money, and also have an award winning ground. Also, didn't Poyet win some management award recently, and not for drawing consecutive games? I can't see Rhodes going there, but it's not beyond the bounds of possibility. Mickael-Smith surprised a few folk by going there last year. I look forward to seeing the Amex next season. Just as a matter of interest, who did win an award for "drawing consecutive games"?

Yes, there really is smoke with not even a whiff of fire sometimes. FWIW this rumour was started by a 12 year old child on the Brighton forum...

You actually believe you have a chance of signing Rhodes? You've seen what happened with the Reading 'nailed-on-signing' rumour and we'll see exactly the same thing with another team as soon as the ridiculous Brighton rumour passes... Jog on

Think "The Mac" was the first ever football ground to be named as Building of the year by the RIBA in 1995--long before the Amex was even dreamed about.UTT. :scarf:

Amazingly, Jordan failed the limp wrist test during the medical. He is camp, but seemingly not camp enough.

We used to be good mates with the Brighton lot, but I guess this might change all that. We celebrated their achievements at their old crap ground and were appreciated for it. Now some juvenile south coaster deems to ruin our bonhommie. Such is football.

Dear God I'll be glad when we can all start bitching about how bad most of the players are and not making 5 page threads on the back of some unknown poster talking complete crap.
This has convinced me that, although everyone needs a holiday, the football summer break is much too long.
Roll on kick off!

Once again made up rumour is found to be just that. It's easy to do. Took me 30 seconds to change the Wikipedia entry last night after that JR fella had put up the link.
What I would find f******g hilarious is if our Rhodes had made up the fake twitter account just to Wum the BHA fans!

One of them said he'd 'drink his own p**s' if Jordan signed - must be missing the Amex bars!
Deano was as p'd off as the rest of us when Ayre/Bruce/Rubery gave Stewart to Ipswich, so why would he give Jordan away to a Championship rival?
Southerners wish to perpetuate the image of all northern clubs being locked into a 1920s stereotype when Town were the first club to win the league three times in succession, playing in front of 50,000 crowds - (that can't be right, can it?). Help me out here Harry Enfield! It isn't as if we stereotype them as being 'shandy drinking' ------------------- Oh wait!
Interesting to know that Jordan would be 'taking a step up' to play for a team that took a 7 -1 thrashing to us only a couple of seasons ago, and at the same time playing in a watered-down version of the Don Valley.
How times change, but, yes they are the new 'massive,' despite the fact that I used to respect their plucky resilience.

No smoke without fire and all that. This is the 3rd transfer window in a row that there's been smoke without fire regarding Rhodes. Back in late Jan/early Feb there was a betting plunge on him going to Norwich. It was an absolute certainty he was going. And guess what? That's right, he's still here.

When has any centre forward scored many goals under Poyet.

Surely he wouldn't be signed before the medical. Possible he failed? Awaiting International Clearance? Would make sense after the mistake of anouncing Tehoue and then not getting clearance.
