Straight men will always find a lot of humour in homosexuality. Doesn't matter whether its 1970 , 2012 or 2112. It will be funny, just like farting will always be funny.
Ive known a few openly gay blokes over the years and all they ever did was take the piss out of being gay and all it entails!

I'll happily explain the original joke. . If you need it explaining! It's called comedic misdirection. You believe the topic is going in one direction, and instead it goes on a tangent. It compounds your misconceptions (apparetly on a mumber of levels). Yes I thought it was funny. Yes I thought some people would appreciate it for what it was. But equally, I knew some idiots would jump all over it and accuse people of being homophobic, despite the fact that no one has been derogatory or insulting. Unless of course you think likening someone to Lionel Blair is insulting.
I don't know about anyone else, but the dudes in the picture don't appear particularly concerned about having their picture taken and posted to the net (apart from Ray Parlour!).

No you moron. . The picture isn't the joke. The joke is that everyone was in such a heightened anxiety state about Jordan Rhodes going to Brighton. The thread title was the misdirection, the picture was the reveal!
