Certainly more believeable than rumours that he was going to Brum.

Tranmere will be a good move for him, they still think a lot about him at Prenton park and good luck to him if it comes about.

I thought Kay did OK when he played at CB with Boom Boom, However I know he is not good enough for the championship. I'm guessing he will be on decent wages so would be good to get him off the books.
What are peoples thoughts on Boom Boom? Do you think we should try move him on or do you think he is good enough to be back up?
For me it depends on if we can get Morrison signed up, with Wallace and poss this Devite (if he signs) as the back up we would not need him.

I'd be moving boom on regardless
Imagine a speedy striker against him?

Plenty good enough as backup, was a big part of the brizzle team which made it to the PO final not long ago. More champ experience than any others in our squad i would imagine and still relatively young.

Ohh is of 'Obviously Kay will be missed but is there anything we can do to make this happen, like maybe pay Tranmere. Or give them Rhodes as part of the deal.'

Ohh is of 'Obviously Kay will be missed but is there anything we can do to make this happen, like maybe pay Tranmere. Or give them Rhodes as part of the deal.' You don't have to 'down' him even if you want him out. He always gave his all and he was uncritical of everyone, but he wasn't quite good enough for what we aspired to. I hate these personal threads about players, because he, or any other departee might look on here in the hope that they might see some appreciative comments. Good look Kay and I hope you can resurrect your career in such a way that you become player of the season again. You got us to last year's playoff final and for that I will be forever grateful even though I have wiped the memory from my mind. Score a couple against Peterboro next season and I will be a devotee for life.

He's been handsomely rewarded at town with a very good contract in the past few seasons, one which was based on a flash in the pan season in Tranmeres midfield. Maybe he is a top fellow, but he's an average League 1 defender and never a centre midfielder in a million years.
We have hopefully moved on from players of this standard all being well.

He doesn't deserve most of the stick he gets. It wasn't his fault he was signed on the back of a great season for Tranmere but then never played in the same role for us. It wasn't his fault he kept getting picked in midfield month after month no matter how poor he played. It wasn't his fault he kept getting paired with a centre back with similar weaknesses who he couldn't form a decent partnership with, no matter how well he played alongside the other centre back.
If he goes, good luck to him.

Kay did have the odd stand out performance, Bourney in play-offs last year comes to mind. He was a warrior home and away for those games, heading everything that came near him, scored a belter of a winning pen, looked a real leader even if we did concede 4 goals overall :iconlol:

I Don't think he is good enough for the championship, at least not as a regular, but I wish him the best if he leaves.

Taken more stick than others more deserving in my opinion. Agree not good enough for the step up but he never went hiding and gave plenty of effort at times when others did not.
