I know it's difficult to judge at this stage with various transfer/takeover issues not yet resolved but using three categories I came up with the following gut feeling on Team's Prospects for the coming Season: TOP SECTIONBLACKBURN BLACKPOOL BOLTON BRIGHTON WOLVES BOTTOM SECTIONBARNSLEY BRISTOL CITY HULL CITY M'BORO MILLWALL PETERBORO' UNPREDICTABLE SECTION i.e. COULD BE ANYTHING ?BIRMINGHAM BURNLEY CARDIFF CHARLTON C.PALACE DERBY HUDDS TOWN IPSWICH LEEDS UNITED LEICESTER NOTTM FOREST SHEFF WED WATFORD Using these three broad categories your take on it ? With 13 teams basically in the category of ''I haven't got a f'in clue'' all the makings of a very competitive league ?

Harsh on Boro and Hull. I think I'd have them in the 'Unpredictable' section as well.
Maybe Blackburn should be 'Unpredictable' too. They still have that imbecile Kean in charge, so could feasibly go down again, no matter who they sign.

An excellent point on Blackman by The Tax Man. I know a Blackburn fan and he can't stand Kean, he thinks they will really struggle. The club is completely splintered and the successful clubs always have some kind of harmony and stability.
I think we'll finish above Blackburn, I really do.
Brighton Top section?!?! Not for me, although saying that I've no idea where teams will finish - that is what I love about this league. Although saying that Bolton and Wolves should be top 6.

I'd have Ipswich in the bottom section, not pushed on in recent seasons and always seem to disappoint despite having decent backing at one stage.

With a couple of decent signings I fancy the wendies might be pushing for a top six spot and if Bates is still in charge at leeds they could easily be bottom six.

brighton - top section - only if they sign are own JR Andy Carroll and perhaps joe cole, Rio F and Stevie G and perhaps a couple more - (LoL) - aka not a chance of top six IMHO

Cant see Hull and Middlesbro in the bottom section to be honest Just hope and pray we arent! be quite happy to be safe in the middle and either become established or flirt with the top 6 would be a great effort

If they do the former and sign a decent striker as well, they could be top 6 :scarf: :scarf:

Brighton finished top half last season & have bought quality - Wouldn't be surprised to see them in top 2. Bolton for the title though.
TBH though I've not seen much CCC football for a while so I'm going mostly on league placings & any transfer activity that I'm aware of.
Unless you know something about Middlesboro that I don't, bottom 6 sounds harsh. They didn't do too badly last season.

Just bumped this from 10 months ago..... Blimey!! Easy to scoff at this distance in time, but I am not sure I would have disagreed at the time and there are some NOTABLE over and under-achievers here!! Look forward to Marshleeds' comments, but he was right - it IS a very competitive league!!

The ones that jump out are Wolves and Hull. Think you're the only one who thought Hull would struggle to be honest, but I don't know anyone who had Wolves down for relegation.
You were bloody bang on with it being competitive though!

The thing is, Kean would have been slated for finishing, say just outside the playoffs, had he been in charge the whole season.

Most seem to have had the right mix of teams in the bottom section aside from Wolves who are effectively gone already.
Most in my selection of 'Could be anything'comprise the 10 teams in this division who have nothing really to play for this weekend.
For what it's worth, my gut feeling ref. relegation is that Millwall will join Bristol City / Wolves through the trap door and your 'Ferret-Fest' v Baaaarnsleh will end in a draw. We will of course be beaten by the 'Loan Rangers' at Watford and just finish ahead of Town on Goal Difference to save pride for another Summer.
A difficult season under Warnock-a-saurus for us and am sure you will be breathing a little easier come Saturday evening with survival under your belts. Grayson ex-Leeds ended up a liability and possibly the goals of Beckford ex-Leeds you will look back on as being vital.

Marshleeds you make some good points. However the only way Millwall will be down is if they lose, and Barnsley, Posh, Wendies, all win. That scenario scares me right now, by 14.35 Sat I would be shitting myself ! - but if ended up that way fair enough !
