#htafc will have got themselves a very good centre back if they are getting Joel Lynch from #nffc. Still only 24 too. #bhafc Expand

Re. Lynch.... he's been our best player whenever I have seen the Reds and it sounds like we offered him around 7k to stay, which is a good fuckin offer considering the state of our club atm! Him (And his agent) obviously want the best deal possible but I can see no way that Huddersfield will beat 7k pw! Lynch has already had talks with afew clubs including Millwall and talks broke down due to finances, unless one of the bigger boys(Or Leicester) go in for him 7k is the max he will get in this league with clubs now thankfully looking at expenditure due to FFP.

Just going by what my Uncle and a couple of other Forest fans have said. They were saying over a three year period he probably hasn't played half the games?

The guys only 24...if he didn't make his breakthrough until say 20 / 21 (i don't know this) thats a decent amount of games.

If this happens, where to we stand in regards to signing Morrison? Do we still need him, especially as we may also been signing that french lad?

Was supposedly a bit mercenary and not enough of a team player when he first went to Forest but had gradually won some of the fans over. Naturally left footed but looked poor when actually played at LB, apparently better as central defender. Forest supposedly have big new money coming in (announcement on Friday - why is it always Friday?) so they may have money to spend and let a few players go in a shake up.

From that Forest board: 'And after he get what he wanted , he'll probably be injured and be out for half a year. In his 3 years at forest , he's been on the treatment table far more than he's been on the pitch.'
I suppose whether he's actually injury-prone or just been unlucky depends on the type of injuries he's had. I'm sure that'll have been well weighed up!

If this happens, where to we stand in regards to signing Morrison? Do we still need him, especially as we may also been signing that french lad? Unfortunatley I can't see it happening now. Not with Lynch, Wallace, Clarke and Dervite as well as Boom Boom and Kay. Shame. Would have loved him back. Can't see why we wouldn't have tried, but it has to make sense finacially as well as on the field and it's pretty obvious with these two that its a no go. Hope im wrong. Anyway sounds like Joel Lynch is here now. UTT :scarf:

Solid signing for you chaps, still young with a heck load of potential. Like I said in another thread, play him at centre-half and you'll reap the reward. Athletic, very composed in possession - played alongside a more experienced head, he should do well.

Ta, we've just signed a left back as well a couple of weeks ago so i imagine he is here to be a CB.
