If Blackburn match the valuation for him,he'll be sold. The thing is though that would leave us short up front.I hope Grayson has a replacement lined up pretty sharpish should he leave.

They are just trying to unsettle him by making it public but they won't get him on the cheap and "better" clubs have and will probably bid more before too long. Until Jack Walker came on the scene they were only on a par with us and since his death they may in the future be just another yo yo club or a championship regular. Their fan base is poor and I have a few friends who support them and have seen Town beat them a few times on their own ground. If or when he goes he can do a lot better than Blackburn. : :

If you read Dean Hoyles comments regarding Rhodes, he will only sell if the price is right and IMPORTANTLY right for Jordan, as i said previously Dean stated even if our valuation is met it does NOT necessarily mean he will be sold. Anyone worked it out yet? That means no repeat of the Marcus Stewart debacle on his watch. Which by the way is another bit of an 'old news' statement. : :

As I said on one of the other related threads I don't really see Blackburn in their current situation as a good career move for Rhodes. Maybe Town are using them as stalking horses to make other interested parties up their bids. If it's either BR or staying with us until at least Jan then I hope Rhodes gets sensible advice from family and agent and opts for the latter.

What was their comment the other day... " TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT " Well maybe by this afternoon Dean will have told them where to get off. Do they really think we would agree a fee of 4m, and gamble the rest on them going up. :iconlol: :iconlol:

Oh, and anyway, Rhodes is going nowhere - certainly not bloody Blackburn!!! (as far as I am concerned......)

Who would ever accept a bid where a third of their offer was dependent on their future success. Especially when that team is managed by Steve Kean.

Sorry but we can't sell him to Blackburn even if they do match his valuation. It would be like the Stewart sale all over again and Hoyle always said he would never put us in a position like that again. The only way I'd let him go would be if we had Maynard and another lined up ready to sign.

Dean has also said he will always do right by the lads who play for town.
If blackburn came in with a HUGE bid but Rhodes Said he didn't want to go there, dean wouldn't sell him. Simple.
When the time comes that Jordan leaves us Dean will do his best for Jordan too. He's said it many times.
Selling Jordan to a club that looks likely to be in administration in the next few years, has a huge fans revolt against the manager, are on a downward slide, rumours of being backed by illegal money laundering...
Blackburn are just about the worst club for anyone to goto at this moment bar pompey.

You all live in a fantasy world. If Rhodes says he wants to join Blackburn Rovers no matter what Hoyle says he'll be joining them. Think some people need to wake up over this.

Erm, you are aware that a player doesn't have to go anywhere, aren't you? This isn't the 1950s, a club can't force a player to do anything he doesn't want to.

For any other citizens of Nowhereisland there's a footy tournament on Thursday if you happen to be down in the south west. I don't think the nation has enough funds to pay for Rhodes though.

Blackburn is definitely a step down in many ways - can't see Rhodes leaving our ambition for Blackburn. I may repeat some of the points against blackburn from above, but: - Shithole - Shit manager - Sold their best player (Hoilett) - Shit fans (however much they hate Kean, you don't seriously think all that barracking helped the fight to stay up?!) - Want to work for Super Deano or whoever's in charge there...tough one that
SO RHODES IS DEFINITELY NOT GOING TO BLACKBURN

I suppose transfer requests have never been rejected then? If Rhodes tells Deano he wants to go to Blackburn but they don't stump up the sufficient cash, then he won't go to Blackburn. The only way Rhodes will go ANYWHERE (never mind Blackburn) is if the valuation is met (unlikely) AND Rhodes tells Deano that he's happy to join the club which the fee is agreed with. If a club offers £10m but Rhodes says he doesn't want to move he won't leave.

the club are set to issue a statement insisting he will be on duty for the opening league game at Cardiff on Friday, August 17. (c/o the unexamined). App.. the club are really cheesed off at brfc's tactics on this matter.

Another match to add to those where the opposition dug out will get a bit of stick. Although Kean may have gone by then.

Steve Kean is the kind of man you'd trust..... I think big Sam has issued legal proceedings against both Kean and Blackburn over this. Some very odd things going on at that club.

Do you actually read statements coming out of the club? Dean Hoyle said whatever happens I'M the one that makes the decisions if Jordan goes I'M the one that has to ok it. Why do you think Jordan referred to "it's them in there that make the decisions" at the Town Hall celebrations when asked if he was staying? : :

If a club offers £10m but Rhodes says he doesn't want to move he won't leave. Unfortunately this isn't how modern football transfers work. If Rhodes wants to go then his value decreases. Agents know this which is why (amongst other reasons) they leak this kind of info. Agents run football and to think otherwise is naive.
