Are we heading down there on the A1??
If so, can we pick Tony up at Ferrybridge Services and save his Mrs traipsing him over at silly o'clock??
Of course he'll have to thank us with some nice to drink for breakfast :nodding:

Nice photo's Kosi. It was a real pleasure and deffo not a chore travelling with the Pikey's. I was a little bit apprehensive beforehand but can honestly say that I will be back if invited. Amazing Town fans and real characters. The yellow bird song is epic and Pete's shortbread wasn't bad either :-)
UTT - Peace & Love Kingy

Kingy - it was good to have you on board mate and I'm sure you'd be very welcome on future trips. The Millbridge crew are a good lot.
It felt fairly uneventful (although the wolves heads were a bit bizarre Daz!) and somewhat different compared to previous trips. The biggest difference for me was the standard of football that is so much better than some of the dross that we've had to put up with in recent years. This feels like a Town team that is going to be exciting to watch on a regular basis and our opponents' grounds, crowds and teams are going to be several notches above most of what we've been used to in league one
There were several new faces on board and I wondered if we might have been going to the Jeremy Kyle show instead of the game for mass DNA and lie detector tests - I bet it would have been very interesting!!
Real characters as you say - a diverse bunch united by their Town following and enjoyment of a good day out. Must say that that 'Spoons' in Bury-St-Edmunds was the poshest one I've ever been in and they loved Daz and that guy in the green top!!!
Liz enjoyed herself despite initially feeling very daunted when she realised that she was the only female on board on this trip. Thanks to all those of you who chatted to her and enabled her to feel more comfortable as the journey progressed. She absolutely loved seeing Army do the Yellow Bird song and also enjoyed the away match experience and the tremendous vocal backing throughout the game.
My apologies to the winos (whoever they were) as I'd got to my drunk and silly stage by then and they were good value for some silly songs ('Is this real red wine, or is it just rose - caught in a grapevine etc. etc.) I must have influenced them in some way though and couldn't believe they swiftly necked a bottle of red each on top of everything else they'd supped and then bought a bottle of rose each at the next stop! I couldn't have stomached it (literally!) and wonder what state they were at the end of the night. Good sports though, both of them.
On a selfish note, I say good call by Bully on the way back. If we'd stopped off for an 'hour' as initially intended, I'd still have been walking home now! It was ironic that George the driver won the football card just after the announcement had been made but he deserved it as he's gone the extra mile for us on several occasions.
Finally, thank you again Kosi for picking us up when in a state of exhaustion almost beyond endurance. Your reward has been credited to your account!!
