Please EVERYBODY lurkers and occasional posters contribute to this site by having your say democratically. No need to comment (there's already another thread open and we don't want this one to be locked do we?)

'Allow board moderators to lock and move threads' - 4 votes? Why would anyone but a milk monitor vote for that?

Leave it alone. It moderates itself by people replying and reading what they want to.

I've voted for more flow (it shouldn't even be a debate should it?), but I can't see anything changing as long as Polish Hippy has any influence. As usual, he has made his mind up and that is it.

I voted for option 3 - to make reading the Board quicker, as I have other favourite sites to visit each day if I have time.

I've voted for more flow (it shouldn't even be a debate should it?), but I can't see anything changing as long as Polish Hippy has any influence. As usual, he has made his mind up and that is it. I am not the only person who is an administrator and there are two other admins who agree with the sticky threads and keeping the same subject matter down to a minimal amount of threads. I really don't see why just because some people are too lazy to scroll down the board to post on a live thread that the board should be cluttered up with the same subject matter over half a dozen threads or more. I really don't care about the amount of flak I am taking because I know for the most part that a lot of people have personal issues with me, always have and always will, so they stir trouble up in any way they can. Mancterrier set this board up, he wants it administering in a certain way, we discussed it, i'm doing as asked. If the admin or mods have issues with those rules then why do they accept the role of admin or mod if they don't agree with what they are being asked to do? The admin staff are supposed to be a team but one of them doesn't even want to admin anything and another is turning it into a personal crusade. So that leaves 4 other admin staff who have asked for a bit of co-operation from board users on two issues. If I was owner of this site then I wouldn't shift from my position but i'm not, i'm doing as asked and the fact I agree with MT on the stickies etc means I can do the role without a problem. If the moaners and whingers get their way and MT says let the lazy bastards spam the board with as many threads as they want then fine, i'll stand back and let you all get on with it. No skin off my nose either way.

I never saw Rivals' DATM as 'Geoffs' site. It was 'Our' site. You never heard from hm in an official capacity from one year to another. That was the beauty of it and it was the first site you logged onto each day.
Look at some of the posters on this thread, it's the first time they've posted on here for weeks. They were the reason I started posting all them years ago and the missing posters are the reason it's not my first port of call these days.
If you're happy with the level of poster as it stands then ignore the 75%+ who want the change.

The admin staff are supposed to be a team but one of them doesn't even want to admin anything and another is turning it into a personal crusade. So that leaves 4 other admin staff who have asked for a bit of co-operation from board users on two issues. The only one who seems to be taking anything on a personal level is you, PH. I never asked to be part of any admin team, I merely offered my services if any graphics were needed and I would help out. I administered a similar forum on my own site for years when I had the time to spare but took it down when I had more pressing priorities which is why I have declared myself unable and unwilling to perform any administration of these forums (Mich made me a moderator on AWAG to help him out if needed). I'm quite happy to have the 'administrator' rights removed if you feel I'm on some sort of crusade against you. In truth, I'm merely offering an opinion on the forum which has been encouraged by Manc Terrier elsewhere. I wasn't aware that being part of a team meant agreeing with everybody elses opinion or creating a 'them and us' scenario as you appear to be doing with the sarcastic comments and accusing people who don't agree with your view as simply being lazy, moaning or whinging for the sake of it. Good luck with that

if theyre all the same type of threads,ie all about jermones comments, fair enough, but some people want to be able to talk about tomorrows team, some want to talk about the officials, some want to talk about the crowd/tickets,some want to talk about the tactics,ya cant have all that going off in 1 thread,it just becomes a mess as you find yourself looking at posts all over the place that you want to respond to,the ticket thing you could find yourself looks at 7 different posts over 5 pages, whats the point?not EVERYTHING about the game has to go in the match thread

Numbers, I well remember the amount of complaints there were when Geoff moved to the Rivals site. It took a while for people to get used to the new format but eventually it settled down. If it was "our" board as you say then Geoff wouldn't have moved to the Rivals format and don't forget we've had changed forced upon us through no fault of Geoff's or Rivals. All that has been asked from the site owner and the admin staff that agree with his wishes is for a little co-operation from members to try and make the board easier to read and that the subject material is easy to access without numerous threads discussing the same issue within the space of a few hours. From the results of this poll then MancTerrier may well say that he will bow to the will of the majority and as I have already said, I will then administer the site according to his wishes. If he says differently then i'm afraid you'll just have to keep whingeing and moaning at us.

It's absolutely fine as it is in my opinion. There are a few lines of stickies ... get over it, scroll down. I agree to an extent that it can be difficult to discuss all aspects of a match in one thread, what with selection, attendance, predictions and the like to discuss, but it's not too hard to cope with, it seems to change topic as the match gets closer. People start by discussing predictions, then they move onto selection and attendance and then finally "get in! 1-0! Boothy!" or what have you. There's a flow of discussion that means the thread splits itself into little sub-categories and if you post on a topic, you're highly likely to have your post noticed and commented upon by others. It's fine. Also, in terms of my Man of The Match poll, I feel stickying it at poll level is important if it is indeed seen as the official poll, as while it may not get many replys, it needs to be noticed if it's to pick up votes. All the other stickies are of importance and those are going to be the hot-topics so they need noticing so the board doesn't get cluttered up. We don't want to fall back to times of old when we had 7 "1-0 BOOTHY!" threads do we? Let's keep it organised and under control. And most of all, even if you people disagree with this, there are much more pressing issues to discuss, let's not get all heated about this fairly insignificant and unimportant topic.
Andy.

There's a designated 'Man of the Match' poster too? Well my Man of The Match poll was made the official one on the authority of PH I think. And it's only sensible that we have one poll, I keep up to date with everyone who wins the poll and it's a fairly organised and regular system. I have a format that seems to work and get plenty of votes. I ask people to comment on what needs improving with it so surely, numbers, it only makes sense to have an official M.O.T.M poll so that past winners can be recorded? Andy.
