will you be charged for receiving money via paypal Thanks for bringing that up, I've noticed a couple of payments where a charge has been incurred. I think it must be when people have selected "paying for goods and services", so it looks like the way round it is to click on the "I'm sending money to family and friends" button. think that's the one

If you select the family and friends option, it doesn't charge you, the charge applies when you select 'paying for goods and services'.

I can't see how it will work fairly unless midweek games are included also? If a team only needs one goal and has a hard game they will effectively be penalised if their team plays the Tuesday night?

As long as its the same for all players it is fair. Most teams will have a Friday or more Tuesdays depending on cups but its irrelevant how many games are scored because your team Could reach 11 with ten 1-0 wins in a row or two games scoring 6 then 5. You could end up pleased your team had a Friday game I.e. not adding to your tally- if you were on 10 and your Team won 3-0 as you would have 'busted', then the following sat you won 1-0. Just adds another fun dimension. Just scoring saturday games makes it a bit easier to organise. It's just a lottery really, albeit a mini one.

All league sides to start with, I'll leave prem teams out for now as there fixtures are fewer and are less regimented than the football league which will make it harder for me to keep track of. Bradford could be the team to have, seem to like scoring 3 or 4 goals at a time, don't forget though, the aim of the game is not to "bust". I can see I'm gonna be busy explaining to people why they haven't won the first few weeks of this.

The idea is to have as many teams playing at the same time (or at least over the same weekend), so that I can award the points in one go. If a team is playing on a Tuesday instead of a Saturday, due to being televised etc, then the points (goals) will still be counted. However, say a fixture scheduled for a Saturday is postponed due to weather, both teams will be awarded 2 goals, so I can't the award more goals (if scored) when the teams then play out the fixture. You will get the idea as we play, so if you want to watch the game develop before you commit, thats fine. I'll edit my original post tomorrow so it covers the rules, but as long as it's the same for everybody, then there will be parity for all entered.

Graham, I see people asking for a team but I believe you're drawing them out of a hat type thing?
Also, if someone is in 10 and their team score 2 goals and they bust, do they just stay at 10 or start at zero again plus the amount over 11 they went? Eg, on ten, they get 2 goals and end up at 1 or 3 goals and end up at 2?
Bet you wish you had never done this now mate....... Lol

Once a phase of the game has been won, I'll draw the team again so you won't have the same team all the time. Second point, if you bust, you go back to 1 or 2 etc. When we used to play this at work, players would frequently bust, but then end up back on 11 goals a few weeks later to take the pot, so it doesn't mean you're out of the reckoning to win. Note, If you have bust, you cant win the consolation prize for the low score. If we can get enough entrants to give us a significant amount to hand over to the club at the end of the season, I'll see if they will contribute a prize which I can award for the most goals accrued over the season.

That's one of the reasons for omitting the prem teams at this stage, as they are all over the place with their fixtures.

20 players entered now, that will currently see the first prize accumulate at £15 per week. I was going to do the draw today, but as we are still seeing people entering I'll wait until tomorrow.

Will do t'draw tomorrow mate. Had a flurry of entries today and last night so wanted to leave it another 24 hours so I could get as many entrants as possible in the draw proper. If anybody wants to enter after the teams have been drawn, they still can, but will have to rely on Bailey to draw them a winning team from the bag. I don't think I need to elaborate, but she's not the luckiest kid I know.
