Town team for development game. Bennett, Woods, Carroll, Tronstad, Lynch, wright, Sinnott, Holmes, Bunn, Mullin & Crooks Subs Charles, Allinson, Boyle & Wilkinson.
General play (Final score 4 2 to Birmingham)) Town started well with two goals in first 10 minutes from Crooks and Mullin. After that Birmingham looked sharper and Akwasi Asanti (Number 9 big, strong and good with his feet and in the air) was the difference as he scored all of their 4 goals. Watch out for this guy as he also has pace. Whilst we created many chances often the final ball was poor or the shots not on target.
Bennet Steady and could not be faulted for the goals. Stopped some good shots and was competent when call on.
Woods Average game however headed back straight into the path of Asanti for their first goal.
Summary All in all the best team won and this halted the unbeaten home run. The good news is Lynch looked fit again and we may well see him starting or possibly on the bench against Bolton.
Carroll Under intense pressure from their quick counter attacks ad breaks did little wrong
Tronstad Part of a poor midfield who on the whole we overrun as the game went on. He also lost possession up front which allowed Birmingham to counter attack and score the second for them.
Lynch. Generally looked comfortable. He played numerous long balls which may well have been to try out his groin. substituted after half time so may well figure on Saturday.
Wright struggled with the pace of the Birmingham forwards especially Asanti and was subbed.
Sinnott (Captain) again looked comfortable on the ball however like many town players look to tire as the game went on.
Holmes For me he was out of the game for long periods and whilst he did some of his usual runs his final pass was often poor.
Bunn got plenty of the ball however Birminghams defence kept him out of his usual shooting positions.
Mullin Good second gaol but was subbed as he faded out of the game.
Crooks For me the pick of our players as he scored our first and was a constant threat on the floor and in the air.
Subs Charles Looked out of sorts and gave the ball away for their fourth goal. Had little impact and wasted the chances he had with the ball with shots and passes going wide of the mark
Boyle Like our other defenders he struggled with Birminghams direct play however was average when he was on the park
Wilkinson Similar to Boyle did little wrong but equally nothing outstanding of note.

Lets have him on the bench on at Derby on Saturday. Joke, or irony? Neither. He's a prolific goalscorer for the U18's and scored yesterday for the U21's. We have a lack of first team strikers at the moment so what's to lose by having him on the bench on Saturday?

was a very poor game, with only Harry Bunn impressing with his 2 goals. None of the rest look like challenging for places in 1st team at moment. Very disappointed with Sondre Tronstad as he couldn't get involved in the game. Jake Carroll also had a poor game and can see why he has dropped out of first team squad. Jake Charles and Flo Bojaj showed glimpses of promise and the 2 centre backs in 2nd half did some good off the ball blocks on the Coventry players which their coaches weren't happy with.
Bit of a farce aswell because there was no teamsheets or anyone doing the announcements so no one knew who was who.

Will you be doing the matchday announcing Tog or will there be team sheets made available? Very frustrating at the Coventry game with no idea who was who on either side.
