Wow Is this the best we can do? Obviously it is. Sums up the club at the moment. Players are jumping ship left right and centre and all we can bring in is, well, Ishmael miller. Jumping ship? The only players who have evidently requested to leave are those who can't get a game. We haven't got rid of any key players possibly with the exception of Hammill. Terrific clear out by the club IMO. Not happy with Miller coming in but in terms of reducing the wage bill we've done a great job.

Sounds like we need to start a thread - "lets not give the lad a chance".

Quite pleased with this. Has a lot to prove in the next few months to keep his career at this level. Could work out well. The same should be said of the whole team, not just this lump

Actually think this is a very smart deal. He's not on loan, he's our player now but only has a contract until the summer and then the decision is ours if we want to keep him.
Put simply.. if he wants to keep a job he's going to have to work his ass off to earn it, otherwise he's unemployed in the summer. Whatever his motivation is for coming here, whether its to have some stability and kick on in his career or simply to make money, that will surely motive him. If he does well he gets another year and we will have benefited from it. Otherwise, probably wont cost us much and we can just dump him in summer.

Clark was never going to get him to perform was he As the years go on Oggy is beginning to reveal his true thoughts about Lee Clark.. He said something tonight about that miller would benefit from good man management by people that know him and contrasted this with a manager " who jumps up and down on the touch line all the time " I've always got the impression Oggy didn't like him (obviously in the most professional way possible).

Impressive stats.....2014/15 season.....22 apps 2 goals /1 assist..... If he doesn't score and doesn't create wot does he do? 10 in 20 for a struggling Yeovil team.

Did you not look at his 13/14 record or are you just looking for negitives? There could be so many reasons he wasn't at his best at Blackpool. The potential is there, let's give him a chance hey?

Given he was playing in what can only be described as an atrocious Blackpool team what were you expecting? A goal a game?! Holt didn't score many for us but there was a marked improvement in our performances when he joined and put himself about. That's what I want and hope Miller will do - be a nuisance and bully defenders - and pitch in with some goals and assists. Give the lad a chance.

He didn't like his rudeness . It's no secret there was no love lost between the two. Or alternatively ... Clark was unprofessionally rude week in week out and oggy grew weary with it whilst trying ( successfully) to maintain a professional stance

Always thought it was a case of him being too honest myself. Would love to hear specific examples of this unprofessional rudeness.

There is not a striker in the championship who would of got more than 5 goals playing for Blackpool this year.
Yeovil record was very good
At forest I think he was there with about 10 other strikers
The only reason for many being underwhelmed is he has come from Blackpool, he is exactly what we need and I honestly think he is the type who could become a favourite.
If anyone wants a fun charity bet, I will wager that Miller outscores Ward between now and the end of the season, yes millers a striker and ward not out and out but sure to start more games.

Think I'd have preferred Hanson to this guy, a striker who doesn't score, only at Town. Is there no better available than this guy?

Really?! After letting go of what, 10 players, we sign a striker from the bottom of the league club with 1 goal to his name? FFS.

Described to me this evening by my sister's partner, who is a Blackpool season ticket holder as " big and quick, with good feet. But lazy" If he stays lazy, like you say he won't be a Town player after June 30th, so little risk to us.

It is a risk but you never know, it may pay off.
He was decent when he was younger, Powell has got the best out of Scannell and we have two coaches who know Ishmail from the Man City academy. If they didn't think that they could get the best out of him then we wouldn't be signing him.
We know that Blackpool don't pay large wages so he won't be on much and it is only until the end of the season.

more shrewd business from Town. the big guy we've been calling for with a better scoring record than many of that ilk (Lee, Sammon, etc, etc). if he'd been knocking them in for Blackpool this year he'd have been out of our range; but a fair bet he'll now do better for us / CP.
