Needs a confidence boost but has the potential to be a regular for us in the coming years. Maybe the step-up and being put straight into the first team was a bit too quick for him to be honest.

Robbie McIntyre mustn't be getting a game for them, then.

Seems like a good move, the Championship's a hell of a step up from the league he's been playing in and he didn't do badly in the games I saw.
Classy looking avatar and sig Five Lamps!

At least we are spared yet another spate of posts about putting him straight in to the 1st team ala Lolley & Holmes!
Only now do I see the hole in my argument.

I WAS impressed by him at the only game I've seen where he played (Millwall). Surely a good move, given that Paul Dixon is playing well.
As there have been two wages out today, are we getting anyone in? Centre-forward who can run (unlike Stead) and not elbow everyone (unlike Lee)?

My thoughts exactly - start these young kids too early and you damage them for the rest of their career - I wonder where Vaughan would be playing now if he had gone out on loan to Bury instead of playing in the Premiership? I am glad you are with me on this Frankiesleftpeg ; keep Duane Holmes and Lolley (& others) away from the 1st Team until they are ready!!

Despite competing for the same position, Carroll and Dixon are very different.
Give him a year and my guess is Carroll will be way ahead of Dixon defensively, it's just whether he can ever be good enough going forward as a wingback, where Dixon excels.
Mayybe he could end up competing for the left position of the three cbs?

It would be silly for us to waste the extra wage when we are on the verge of safety already. A few more wins (even in our inconsistent state) should see us all relaxed as Spring arrives. Save the money for the summer window!

He's 6ft tall according to Burys official website.
Hope he does well, looked good IMO at the start and was just starting to develop his attacking side when Dixon came back and he then got injured.
I can see Dixon being sold in he near future and replaced by Carroll.

I'm coming up for the Wednesday game on Saturday, otherwise I would have gone to the Dons v Bury game to see how he got on! A loan's a good idea, overall I thought he did OK at the start of the season considering he'd come from a part-time set-up, but he needs to get playing again. Definitely got potential has the lad.

AFC Wimbledon have signed Scunthorpe United captain Michael Collins on loan until the end of the season.
