Tons of threads asking for new players. Leicester ask for an extra 3k seats at 25 squid a pop. Town fans say no to cash. It's ok Uncle Dean will keep paying for everything..... One game with 3000 extra paying away supporters for a one off £75k COULD easily equal... 500 Town fans opting out in future, 500 Town fans is £200k of season ticket money. Or if theyre oaying on the day....if 500 Town fans miss just 6 games youve lost the one off frok the Leicester fans. So...if its about money, I'd imagine the club would be looking VERY carefully at the numbers, as the likelihood would be more away fans means less money for the club not just in the coming season, but ongoing Why on earth would 500 town fans not renew just because they may be asked to move for one game they might even enjoy the change of scenery. Its good to change seats every now and then it gives you a different match day experiance.

We are the most accommodating friendliest most welcoming club in England so we'll let Leicester fill our ground and have a sing song. We'll also roll over on the pitch and gift them 4 goals as they cruise to victory. We might as well give Sheff Weds and Leeds 3 sides of the ground because we'll make lots of money!! What's wrong with you, extra cash for the club, we won't have owt to play for, were not saying give them all the ground, a couple of thousand extra tickets which we wouldn't sell on the day anyway!!!!!!!!!!! There's nowt wrong with me? why didn't we give Barnsley an extra couple of thousand tickets last season because there was only 20500 there it wouldn't have made much difference to the atmosphere and we'd have made some more brass.Same for Leeds we could have given them an extra 5000 tickets to cash in if its about money it makes no difference if there's anything to play for.

I got moved for the Sunderland game, having bought a season ticket in the Upper Riverside (emptiest part of the ground, incidentally, it is the one of the very few times the ground has been near full) because I liked the view, and I hoped that one day, Town would be involved in a top of the table clash with a full ground and I would be able to sit in a seat that I liked. The club wrote an absurdly rude letter to season ticket holders telling us we were being moved, so I didn't renew my season ticket - there was no point. They may have made a few hundred quid extra from Sunderland fans, but it has cost them 15 years season ticket sales off me...

Don't kid yourself that there won't be trouble because there'll be plenty regardless of where they sit.I already explained the Leeds and Weds games and would an extra 2/3 thousand Barnsley fans really have made all the difference to the game,i don't think it would.I just don't agree with it but what will be will be,enjoy your night.UTT!

If they'd written nicely to you, would it have made a difference ?

No idea why, but I know some fans definitelty walked away from season tickets or even home games entirely after the Sunderland game. I 100% agree its good to move seats, its one of the reasons I stopped beimg a season ticket holder...however you have to bear in mind theres 10,000 folk who disagree and who have sat in the same seat since 1995. People feel they own their seat (look at the amount of folk who sit in their regular seat for a cup game), and if they cant sit in it, it annoys them.

Shall we give em a goal start as well? not everythings about money or at least it shouldn't be.We're already known as soft touch and Leicester don't need any favours from us. Yes give them a goal start too why not... If Leicester find themselves in a position where they are on the verge or promotion when they come, and 7,000 fans want to come see it - what's your issue? Do you really think those extra 3,000 will mean town play bad? Or will it actually make a fantastic atmosphere with the noise and put cash in our own teams pockets? And one day, when we're on the verge of promotion - will you come on here bitching and moaning because you can't get a ticket because the other club won't release extra tickets in a half empty stadium? It's not even an issue. The stuff people resist is bizarre.

Surely we should be making it unreserved seating so we can reduce their allocation to 3,500. If they brought 7,000 all this would do is increase our income which we certainly do not want to do!

No, it didnt work nicely against Sunderland. Town fans were moved out of "their" seats for away fans... some of them called it a day and stopped going. And in fact, the club acknowledges that "in practice this did not work" in an article on htafc.com only last weel. Really? How many? I dount there will have been more than 3 at most.

7,000 Leicester fans!! it's bad enough on a normal match day with the traffic. Let them have 4,000 that's the away allocation and they should stick to it.

Kick 4000 (or actually more, given there would "have" to a buffer zone) out of the Kilner and it would be a safe bet more than 3 of them would decide not to renew with this as a major factor in their decision. Tell 'em to stuff it...the early kick off means they can have a beam back in Leicester if they want more fans to watch the game.

If Leicester truly want 7000 tickets then charge those extra 3000 double the price then pass the cost of a ticket back to those true supporters who will be shifted out of their pre paid seats.

What early kick off? It's 3pm. Oh yeah, I thought it was the last game, as I deleted watford from my calendar as I refuse to acknowledge their snivelling whiny existance. And the team is as bad. In that case, screw them, let them celebrate promotion at their own ground.

If we are to give them more tickets make sure its in the most expensive part. ...use the upper tier nearest the away end.

Wow I've heard it all I remember this cos my brother had a season ticket in there all he had to do was move seat from the south end to the north end of the same stand He never had to move from the upper tier just 10 yards further north On top of that for his inconveniance he was given a free ticket for the home leg of the Worthington cup game against Everton Happy days As my old boss used to say don't give me problems give me solutions

Give them 7,000 tickets especially if this is a nothing game to us. I cannot remember what they charge but might be a good idea to Charge them Leeds prices of £35 a ticket which would include cleaning up costs and bring in a welcome income of £245,000 + that could be put towards a half decent player for next season.

I can see fans not renewing season tickets if they are moved because the club would have set a president by accommodating more than 4,000 away fans. What's to say we wouldn't do this on a more regular basis if the demand for the away team was for more than the normal 4,000? I'm not saying it would happen just that it could happen and end up putting a lot of regular and loyal town fans noses out of joint along with the inconvenience of moving from a seat you've paid for in advance throughout the season.

Clearly if people are asked to move seats they should be told politely and not rudely as one poster suggested happened. Maybe even throw in a free Bovril & programme,
but
Deano has pumped millions into this Club and there are some on here who say they are not prepared to renew their season tickets if they are inconvenienced for one game to help the Clubs finances. Beggers belief.

Make it cheaper in the other stands so people who get matchday tickets there can get them in another stand.
