A smallish squad is the way to go - keep everyone involved.

When Drinkwater came on loan to Town, Fergie sent a cheque for £1000 and a hand written note of appreciation to the club he played at before joining the Man U Academy, as a reward for their involvement in his very early footballing development (not 100% sure if he left them when aged 9, or if he stayed with the club in Alty for a few years alongside his Man U commitment).
£1000 is nothing to them, but he and Man U didnt have to do that and I've looked at him in a different light since then.
£1000 is a HUGE amount for a junior football club to unexpectedly recieve.

Norwood is Drinkwater 2.0. I remember thread after thread at how he drifted out of games and was too light weight.
Stick with Norwood, he's got it all, this was his first real full season of 1st team footy.
A summer to reflect on his season, get stronger and faster - and we'll have a right player.
Not in the same class but it could be similar to Ramsey progress at Arsenal.
Keep the faith on this one.

You've many more rich clubs getting to the promised land than poor ones. FACT! Cant disagree...........but its time we started to over perform surely?! We ve seen barnsley, blackpool, burnley, palace, watford, god strewth even sadford do it. We need a couple of good early signings and a nice summer to reignite the enthusiasm again........

Ability wise yes.....but the challenge which led to the second derby goal epitomises him for me - lazy, half arsed and bloody frustrating because you know he is better than that!
