Draw, home win...or an away win best for Town ?
Am thinking maybe a Barnsley win would be best....

Barnsley, they are fucked either way, and we could do without Charlton getting any closer to us

You're probably right, Chris. I see Jack Hunt hasn't made the starting line-up; can see Palace off-loading him in summer.

Yeah I'm watching that too, Giroud should be ashamed of himself for not burying that chance

Clinical from Podolski. 1-1. Honestly not sure why he doesn't play up front properly for Arsenal.

Draw. Barnsley win opens up another relegation spot. It would, but I very much doubt they'd catch us. Anything but a Charlton win as they play Blackpool last game of season so one of those 2 has no chance of taking maximum points.

Looking at the live table now, both Barnsley and Millwall would have to get 8 points from 4 games to overtake us. Hope it stays as it is.

Draw. Barnsley win opens up another relegation spot. If they win tonight, they'd still need 8 points from Leeds (H), Derby (A), Boro (A) & QPR (H) to go above us, even if we get no more points. It's possible, but unlikely. Also a Barnsley win tonight keeps Charlton in it, so the best result (IMO) is definitely a Barnsley win.

Six from leeds and boro and possible three against qpr who will be preparing for play offs...imo a draw better

Clinical from Podolski. 1-1. Honestly not sure why he doesn't play up front properly for Arsenal. They've tried him there quite a few times and he's generally looked poor. He's a weird player in that he's not really a centre forward and not really a winger, he likes to play kind of between the full back and centre back but even there he's well capable of doing nothing for the entire game.. Then it'll open up slightly and he'll score a belter. Basically he needs a team building around his fairly obscure position like he had at Koln but at Arsenal he's not good enough relative to their other players to justify that. That's my take on it at least!

So your take is he's a bit of an inside forward in that sense, which I'm thinking wouldn't be too different from a second striker (or playing in the hole and given the option to go where he pleases behind the striker really) - though that wouldn't really be plausible given how many attacking midfielders Arsenal have. ...just watched him score that 3rd - I reckon you're spot on in terms of where he plays.

Yeah, I think it's just that they tend to play one up front which he can't seem to do and their other attacking players aren't as one-dimensional. Well, Walcott is one-dimensional too but he has pace which they desperately lack without him! I could see him being a big hit somewhere else but I can't see him ever really cementing a place there. I'd have him here at any rate

If we don't get owt on Friday, imagine us going to Yeovil on Monday and going behind to an early goal.. Can you see our lot manning up and turning the game around? Worst nightmare.

barnsley win is not good. rather they were rooted to the bottom of the table. Suppose there's arguments both ways & we won't really know till the end of the season. One thing about Barnsley winning is that it means there's more chance that when it's Blackpool v Charlton (last day) both of them have something to play for & that may work to our advantage (i.e. both can't win).
Oh fuck it! What do I know?
