It took me almost 2 hours to study the fixtures to try and work out if Town would be relegated and my Mrs thinks I have to much time on my hands of which then she passed me a garden spade. She has rather a big gob so that prompted me into talking her to come to Yeovil with me as that will come in handy for a change especially when giving vocal support to the boys. These players lack passion and they just don't seem to realise how much they are messing with peoples lives especially fans like me who have spent 52 years following the club as when i started going to matches with my dad the Team were nickname the Boot Babes and my old man said it was copied from the Busby Babes of Man Utd . I Worked out Town will not be relegated even if they don't get another point IE BOTTOM 3 = Yeovil, Barnsley and finally Millwall on 44 points but feel we have been here before last season . PS Am I the only one who has done this.

town should be aiming for 12 points..the rest can do what they like..you cant pick games anytime in a season to get something from, it simply does not work. Even less so at the death.
waiting till it really is shit or bust to go for a win is probably the worst tactic anyone can come up with.
4 games to go, try like hell to win the next one, then look at the other results. I would like to go to Yeovil on 49 points and then play Leicester with at least 50 , maybe then we will see a Robins team play more as he would like them to?
You don't get confidence from hiding and hoping.

The unofficial "Devon posse" of Devonianterrier, Jimmy Glazzard's grandson, Jimmy Glazzard's Great grandson, the wife and myself will be there on Monday. Keep calm we will be safe I think we have enough points already. Let's celebrate in the beer tent at Yeovil!

Spending a bit of time looking at fixtures and recent form, i see this been the most likely outcome, just as an example Huddersfield minimum 47 points Draw against Yeovil maximum 50 points win at Yeovil draw with Watford. Anyone thinking we are already safe needs to take another look at the table and fixtures
Birmingham 48-49 Prediction LWLD Huddersfield 47-50 Prediction LDLL Millwall 47-48 Prediction WDLW Doncaster 44-46 Prediction LDLL Blackpool 44-47 Prediction LLLD Charlton 44-48 Prediction LDDLD Barnsley 43-46 Prediction WLDL Yeovil 41-43 Prediction DDLW

Did part of the old ground say "Boot Babes" or something similar to that on it?
Possibly in the corner between the Cowshed and whatever the seated stand was called (as regulars on the terrace we called it "the other side").

My grandad was a fan in the 1923 era followed by my dad who was a pre 1st world war supporter followed by me from 1961 but didn't realise what he was on about regarding boot babes until 1969 until they changed there name to the terriers under greavsie . Town were previously nicknamed the colne siders for obvious reasons.

I am staying in Instow for the week and knocking about with the idea of going to Yeovil on Monday. Don't fancy going on the train though as it takes 5 and a half hours! Which is the best way to get there other than driving ? I need beer to watch Town......

Carlito --- Instow to Yeovil is less that 3 hours on the train IE 09 43 from Barnstable arrive Exeter 10 48 change 11 25 from Exeter arrive Yeovil 12 27 then hopefully meet up at the station with the London and South supporters who arrive shortly afterwards. Catch bus to ground of which is now said to be a frequent service .

I know we have been dire in the past few games but I would be amazed if we failed to get another point this season!

I've done the same. I had Yeovil, Barnsley & Blackpool going down, with us staying up on Goal Difference.
I also predicted that Charlton would win last night.

With so many imponderables, has there ever been a more futile exercise ?
