For free? Yes of course, would be quality in 352
pointless discussion though as it wont happen.

Given Dean Hoyle's less than complimentary description of him, I'd say no. Purely from a playing perspective, yes - although I think there are higher priorities for strengthening.

Would Dean Hoyle want him back This. even if he was free i very much doubt robins or dean would want him back. Think 'character' will be a big part of this summers recruitment requirements.

For what he's supposed to do I didn't actually think he had a good game against us. Obviously looked decent going forward (in the first half anyway) but defensively he was shocking.

No. Wanted his move in January, was told to wait till the summer, Took his bat and ball home and downed tools. Because he downed tools I don't want him in a town shirt ever again. If he had given his all and still left in the summer I'd be happy to see him back, but to down tools and give up is disgraceful. You sign a contract, honour it, don't disrespect it and the shirt which gave you a chance in football. Two words of advice Jack.... Jordan + Rhodes.

And hinder Tommy Smith's progress? No thanks.
If he's a free (which he won't be) and played as a wing back and able to fill in as and when as a full back, then fine. Lots of 'ifs' there. though.

We've currently got a load of players who don't look arsed to be playing for Huddersfield, why bring another back who had his head turned.
There's no such thing as loyalty in football of course, but I'd rather have someone who wanted to play for the shirt, than someone who wanted to leave..
I don't think the Cyrus Christie deal is dead either...

Amusing all the people saying we don't need characters like that blah blah blah. Whatever he was supposed to have done once he wanted his transfer, on the pitch for a sustained period he was far better than the majority the expensive shit currently wearing the shirt. Probably provided more assists in one game than Dixon has since he got here. I think the risk of players doing very well, becoming sought after, becoming worth £1.2M then deciding they want to better themselves is a risk worth taking! Certainly better than signing a load of half arsed, championship perennial under achievers prone to going missing and letting the opposition bend them over and spank their arses on a regular basis. I'll take more of Jack Hunts type all day long thanks Sent from my GT-I9505 using proboards

Yes. Twice as good as Smith and would provide us with a much needed attacking threat from deep. Something we have lacked this season IMO.
People complaining about his character need to have a look at some of the members in our current squad. It's full of nob heads. One more wouldn't hurt.

Sorry but for me whatever he did before that (and i think he was good) doesnt excuse it...selfish and not the kind of character I would want if there was a possibility of next season going like the last 2 seasons. I was a big fan of hunts..footballing ability I would have him back, but think he burnt his bridges in his final few months. Had he put in 100% in the last few months, got his move...then it not worked out, i think almost everyone here would happily have him back.

I'd take him back without a shadow of a doubt, but can't see it happening. I like Smith, but at right-back there simply is no comparison. IMO we should be keeping him as the ball playing centre-back we need to pass it out from the back.

Palace seem to have done OK without him. What a smashing win for them tonight.
I thought he was a cracking player, whose flaws were exaggerated and strengths underplayed. You don't many moments as exciting as his run at the Emirates when you support a lower league club. The audacity and impertinence of it will live with me for a long time, as will all of those wicked crosses he planted on Rhodes' head.
All that said, I wouldn't want to pay the £1.5m we got for him, which was a cracking deal for a player who wanted away and had no real suitors come in.

Seen as though Deans already turned him down I'd say this won't be happening
