People get the impression that we got massive gates all the time but this isn't quite the case, the really big crowds came out for the cup matches but the average league attendances were comparitively modest even in the glory years. We certainly wouldn't a get a full house for an FA cup game v York now at the JSS that's for sure though!

Biggest crowd I have been in at Leeds Rd was 49,514 v Sheffield Wednesday - FA Cup March 1966. Lost 2-1 to eventual runners up against Everton in final.
