Would happily have almost all of them, tbh, with only a few excptions. List in order of how I rate them based on ability and potential: Harry Maguire Cyrus Christie Andrew Robertson Luke Ayling Craig Cathcart Reda Johnson Carlos Cuellar Jonathan Parr Mark Hudson Kyle Bartley Dan Burn Danny Gabbidon Sean St. Ledger Lloyd Jones Guillermo Varela Ben Purrington Bobby Hassell Gary Caldwell Gabriel Zakuani Kirk Broadfoot Do you like making lists Ollie? However did you tell?

What I don't understand is how anyone on here, who I assume go to watch Town most weeks and not on frequent scouting missions up and down the country, has anywhere near enough knowledge of these names on a list to a) be able to pass good judgement on how suitable they'd be for Town or b) rank them in order of suitability! I've never even heard of half of them let alone seem them play enough to know how good they are!

I am pretty confident we will sign a big strong centre forward in the summer and I don't think it will necessarily be one who is a big goalscorer.
Reasons..
To cover our lack of physicality when Vaughan gets injured (hopefully he won't but we should plan for him being out at some point). It would seem to be he best type of partner Wells.. If we play to Wells strengths he will get 20+ goals. To help us defend set pieces.
This does not mean Robins will abandon us playing football but it will give us the option of being more direct when we need it.

Just because you play with a big presence up front doesn't negate all the good football played to the point of getting the ball to the front men. Need a big ugly bugger to upset a few opposition centre backs. Look at Martin at Derby... horrible sod. Would have somebody of his ilk in a flash in order to free young Wells.

A big bastard. Vaughan Wells and Bunn would be a decent set of 4 strikers to start season with, and maybe a young loan guy from premiership.

A number of Championship sides are interested in Partick Thistle defender Aaron Taylor-Sinclair. Could be us?

Martin is a great example of a powerful front man who plays in a good footballing side. A good player too.

St ledger released by foxes would take him as an experienced CB in this league only 29,wages might be a problem though.

Wouldn't mind us going for Dean Cox, always rated him in L1, made team of the year this year and having a blinder against Posh at the moment. Maybe a bit lightweight, good pair of feet on him though and can actually cross a ball

seems to be plenty of 'big' forwards in lower league, P'bro seem to pick up all sorts of gems from non league clubs..we've got Lolley..must be more of the hungry (and cheap) lads worth giving a go...?
Don't ask me to name any though.....

Downside to him (from towns point of view) is that he's a small, fast player and has a few similarities to Wells.

Ben Pringle and Callum Wilson being lined up. I think Pringle is a smashing player. Bags of energy, and passes and moves very well - this would become more evident in a passing side. Don't think Wilson is likely though.

Came through their youth setup and has a decent left foot on him - takes a lot of their set pieces. Gets up and down the pitch quickly and always finds a clever pass in a side that generally plays long ball. I think he'd do well at this level and would compliment a few of our midfielders well.
