Has the midfielder who Yeovil had on loan gone on their tour? We were linked heavily back in May Tom Lawrence, forgot about him! Pretty sure he's gone

Lawrence & Keane both signed new contracts this summer. Keane has played 45 minutes in both games (Vs Galaxy and Vs Roma) so this seems to chime with previous comments about the pre season tour. Lawrence is only 20, so Utd don't need to name him in the squad. Keane is 21, so not sure how the rules apply.
Might as well just go for a full house and get Will Keane as well - Michael's twin, striker. Had injury problems, fit again now, highly rated - played 4 times on loan for Wigan and then 9 for QPR last year, played at every England youth level.
We can dream

Reece James looking a decent player, doubt they'll loan him out though.
More likely to loan Tyler Blackett.

If we're taking Michael Keane then it would be rude not to take his brother Will. Very classy striker who was set back by an ACL injury.

I heard Keane is going to Cardiff with half of Man U fringe players - I think they have taken 3 already !
Hope I'm wrong as a good young central defender would be very useful but surely we need at least another 2/3 decent players; striker, attacking midfielder and other winger.
Get rid of Patterson and Scannell who has been useless since he came - should do so much more as strong, quick and bags of skill but when has he ever delivered a good 90 minutes?

I think it's patently clear that no one will take the likes of Paterson, Scannell and Gobern. As soon as we don't get any of our transfer targets Robins will be claiming some of the players he can't get shut of have had a great pre season and are "like having a new signing".

Is there any truth in Duane Holmes going on loan to Oldham?

Wouldnt be a bad move, IF and when we get this dutch attacking midfielder his appearances may be limited, especially if Lolley could also play that role. So a year at Oldham would probably be a good move, playing week in, week out.

Just read through this thread for first time in a bit. I've an idea for next seasons one, can we do away with any actual transfer rumours and just stick to the arguing and name calling. Far more entertaining. You pricks.

Hull City are considering whether to pursue the signing of defender Harry Maguire after Sheffield United belatedly accepted their offer.
The 21-year-old has made 166 appearances for the Blades, who say their valuation has now been met.
A Hull City statement said: "The club's final offer was rejected on Wednesday.
"The board will meet with Steve Bruce to determine whether we now wish to pursue the transfer after the South Yorkshire club's apparent U-turn."

Bamford to Boro should push the Clayton deal further away. Nixon says we were miles apart on the valuation.

#htafc manager Mark Robins insists the club are stepping up their bid for new signings this summer. Where did you read this you Twat? I read it on t'Examiner somewhere. I wonder if they have now started to look at new targets if all the ones they initially had in mind fell through. As I understand it the process started well before the end of the season. Robins, Wilson and Clibben's agree a target list for the priority positions and then Wilson and Clibben's try to do the deals.

one kid from man utd and one kid from Chelsea, apparently. one rumoured to have played a number of first team games for other clubs the other very limited first team experience.. guess would have to be Keane from man utd and anyones guess from Chelsea for the other. after seeing prices quoted for average championship players and silly prices for has beens and journeymen its probably the way to go for town.
as that sage Hansen said "you wont win anything with kids"..was that before or after he got scarred by Voldemort???

Robins' interview:
Mark Robins is ready to step up Huddersfield Town’s bid for new signings.
With less than two weeks to the opening Championship clash against Bournemouth at the John Smith’s Stadium, Robins confirmed Town are in the market for further arrivals.
Summer capture Lee Peltier captained Town in Saturday’s 1-0 pre-season defeat at Scunthorpe, while Robins’ other closed-season signing, keeper Joe Murphy from Coventry, was on the bench.
“We are looking and we would certainly like to add,” said Robins, who is assessing the fitness of striker James Vaughan (calf) ahead of Tuesday’s trip to Sheffield United,
“There is definitely a resolve to do it because we haven’t got that strength in depth.
“Once we get the right people in the right slot then maybe we can push the button and try and finalise something, but they have to be the right people.
“There is no point bringing someone in for the sake of it and spending money that’s hard earned.”
Robins would not reveal targets but added: “I am focused on the areas I want to strengthen, but it’s finding those players at the right money who are going to be able to come in and go straight into the team.
“I don’t really want to be getting squad players, I want to be bringing people who are going to enhance the group we’ve got and make us stronger
“There are different elements to that – the cost is one, the right character is another and the right quality for the slot – and you can never tell when those things are going to come together. When they do and it’s right for the club, we’ll look to do it.”
Danny Ward (hamstring), Anthony Gerrard (calf) and Oscar Gobern (toe) will not be considered for the match at Bramall Lane.
“It’s too early for them, they need to do some training because of the length of time they’ve been out,” explained Robins.
“We will have a look at James Vaughan and see if he’s ready to have a go and, hopefully, by the time we get to the season we will have pretty much a full complement to pick from.”

My guess is Islam Feruz....as you can tel from the name he's represented SCotland at every youth level, striker, was on Celtic's books til Chelsea signed him. Striker, short, quick etc.
