Oct 24, 2008 at 12:16pm QuotePost by Tony Sorrento on Oct 24, 2008 at 12:16pm Boothy has sooo many songs....
To the tune of yellow submarine:
In the Town Where I was born Lives a man called Andy Booth
He wore The blue n white and he thinks that Leeds are Sh*te
He scored a goal at Wembley But now he's got 2 knackered knees
So to Science we ask of you Could you clone us Andy Booth?
Cos we all dream of a team of Andy Booths, A team of Andy Booths, A team of Andy Booths X2
Number 1 is Andy Booth, Number 2 is Andy Booth, Number 3 is Andy Booth, Number 4 is Andy Booth, Number 5 is Andy Booth, Number 6 is Andy Booth, Number 7 is Andy Booth, Number 8 is Andy Booth, Number 9 is Andy Booth, Number 10 is Andy Booth, Number 11 is Andy Booth, and on the bench is.... Andy Booth
Cos we all dream of a team of Andy Booths, A team of Andy Booths, A team of Andy Booths - repeat til fade

My favourite thing about Blackpool is that Dublin is Irish for Black pool (Dubh linn, apparently). Don't know if anyone can get anything out of that, but its a thing never-the-less.

As smithies does a goal kick in front of the NSL we need to do the usual 'OOOOOOOOOOHOHOHOHOHOHHHHOOOHHHHHOOOOOOHHHHHH' And then the we love you chant after he's kicked it

Da da daa da da da da da, da da daa da da da da da................. (While bouncing)

Hats off to whoever came up with the Connor Coady version of the Hokey Cokey

Conor Coady song was brilliant. I think if as more and more people take part, it will look great. Just a few picky points though Should we mix up the song to run through left arm, right arm, left leg, right leg? Last night every verse was "left leg in". Also, I think the actual hokey cokey song involves doing a full 360 turn on "and you turn around", rather than just a half-turn. Also it means we don't all have to look over our shoulders so we don't miss the game

Few ideas.Need mixture of old and new I think but think
The rhythm we had going at Carlisle away in the second leg of the promotion play offs in '95 is a good one.
Hard to do as post, it was just a rhythm but went something like
da da da da da da da da
da da da da da da da da
We had nearly whole end behind goal bouncing up and down to it
Could do that, and maybe with the occasional shout of
BLUES BLUES BLUES BLUES against the rhythm.
Probably sound corny, but catchy as f*ck, the rhythm I mean.
& it'd fire everyone up
Then when it stops, with everyone wound up, could fire out either "HT, The HTFC, We are the famous HTFC" etc
or maybe just fire out Huddersfield,Huddersfield,Huddersfield" at end of that rhythm, old style & up tempo version
Also think "When the Town go marching in"
is a good one to bring back as it gets people involved, with the "Oh When The Town" bit repeated at start makes others join in the singing
And "Take My Hand" is a good one to bring back too.
Just ideas, not forcing anything, just think these songs / rhythms would make it more of a party like atmosphere, create good bouncy atmosphere to get others to join in the singing.
"Waltzing The Cowshed" would be a laugh too, but probably best waiting till we've got big group to try that, when we've nearly filled end & of course when judged what the stewards will let us away with LOL

Always like this Celtic one Needs two stands singing alternate lines which obviously would be a stumbling block here Good idea. Could do that but with. Each stand taking it in turns to sing "Huddersfield" drawn out as we do now then can go singing BLUE & WHITE, BLUE & WHITE or just Huddersfield,Huddersfield, up tempo all together. Doesn't actually need separate stands echoing each other, when we have enough in NSL behind goal we can split it in two to echo at each other just like how we used to do at Leeds Road when we echoed Celtic & Rangers at each other or when we took turns in same terrace at Stoke City in Milk Cup years ago one half sing "Micky Buxton's" and the other half answering with "Blue and White Army"
