How about Northcurve/Nordcurve? Good break from the North Stand, preventing confusion w/ the Brighton lot, good german theme and hopefully we'll get safe standing.

Personally I would like to stick to 'Cowshed Loyal'. Although some people said it has no relevance to younger fans or those who didn't follow at leeds rd. But as a 15 year old, it doesn't put me off but makes me proud of our history as a club and it's unique.

What about Farmy Army in reference to the Cowshed ? Like that one Otium. Also brings in the 'Udders' part of our name, which I am sure was the main reason we named our end The Cowshed.
Failing that, how about Southstand Wannabees

I would be interested to know how "The Cowshed" got its name. The structure resembled that of a cowshed you would see on a farm.

I know what a byre is and how the wooden curved roof and panels resembled an open bower. What i wanted to know was by who and why was the name given?

Or the "Southstand Gonnabees"? Like that better.
I have to learn to be more positive.
As per the Cowshed name, I know that on the End Of An Era" vid I think it did say that it resembled a cow shed of that time. Still that could be a load of..
However I still think, knowing our Yorkshire humour, it was probably in relation to our Town's name. If it wasn't, then it should have been.

During the 1920's, the Leeds Road End was given a new 'barrel shaped roof' which covered the whole of the terrace. The wooden roof led to the end being nick-named the 'Cowshed' by the supporters, a name which stuck until the ground was closed in 1994. The other terrace's were also further expanded. The East Terrace (also known as the Popular Terrace) was extended so that it was 126 steps high and this was given a roof in 1955. The other terrace, the Dalton Bank was also extended (but on a smaller scale) but was to remain uncovered. Still, these improvements boosted the ground's capacity and in 1932 over 67,000 fans crammed into watch an FA Cup tie against Arsenal. In 1950 the Main Stand was destroyed by fire, but this was replaced by a similar looking structure, although unfortunately without the gable. Floodlights were erected in 1961.
Saturday, April 30th 1994, saw the last ever league match to be played at the Leeds Road Ground. This saw a 2-1 victory for the Terriers over Blackpool (attendance 16,195).

Wasn't their a prison of war camp on the other side of Leeds Road at one time.
My uncle who has now passed away has told me about when he used to go and watch the games and there would be a number of Italian POW's at the matches.

I was going to suggest the Dog Pound in reference to us all being Terriers but I'm not sure how people would feel about being Dog Pounders!
