Have you all forgotten he said as quoted by DH "under no circumstances does he (Rhodes) want to be a Huddersfield Town player. We gave him his chance. Disrespectful in my opinion. Although at least we made or will make £8 million plus add ons with future transfers If we'd offered him £35k a week then the circumstances would have arisen.

I can well respect the want to play at a higher level but moving to Blackburn over us? With his goals we could have really made a good stab at the higher end of the table if not made the playoffs

Think it was nearer QUADRUPLE his wages, and guaranteed for the next FIVE years!!
It takes a very hypocritical mind to dig him out for taking that! We gave him his chance and he repaid us by getting us promoted almost single handedly and earning us a fortune. No reason for any bitterness from our end at all.

If Dean Hoyle cared one bit about this club, he'd have given Rhodes 40k a week, signed Vaughan and then signed Wells too. Is it any wonder we're scratting around the bottom of the division

I defy anyone on here to say they wouldn't move in the same circumstances.

There wasn't anything not to like- he scored hatfulls of goals, he was disciplined, never let us down and by all accounts a really nice honest lad who no one ever seemed to have a bad word to say about. But maybe that was it? he was too nice! Think a lot of fans would feel similar and not know why they do. Never had his own song despite doing more than anyone to earn one afterall. Whereas Alan lee, crap player and red card liability that he was did, as did Novak and even Theo robinson. Guess fans prefer a bit of an edge to their hero.

Maybe because for all his cool finishes whenever we were in a scrap he didnt have the muscle. Dont get me wrong he didnt need to have that to his game, but at times Town needed that bit more physical presence up front. The thing that pisses me off is not that we sold him but the fact that despite the so called amazing deal the football quality stagnated and we have flirted twice now with relegation.

I loved him at Town. We always had a chance of a result, home or away, when he was in the side. Ruthless and clinical finisher. In an era when we so often flattered to deceive, he did not. The goals against massive in the 4-4 were devastating and a great moment as a fan. Unplayable that night and most of that season. I hope he gets a chance in the prem as with service he will score goals.

Blackburn seem underwhelmed by his market value not increasing despite proving he could do it at Championship level.
For all his goals for them they're still in this league, will likely not make a transfer profit on him and have paid him about £4M in wages over two seasons.

The "4-2 and you f**ked it up" chant is still ringing in my ears, even after all this time, as well as the total look of astonishment on their faces.
P.S. Who says Peter Clarke is not a ball playing defender???

It will amaze me if Jordan isn't playing Premiership football come August. Blackburn have a job on to keep hold of him.

That would make up for the lack of a cup run.

Can't he just sign for Roma and we can enjoy that pun and get on with our lives already, rather than waiting for Swansea to get back into Europe and then having to hope Roma finish third in their Champions League group before we even have a chance of it coming about.

What's the sell on percentage? 20% of the profit over the original 8 million fee.
