Saw him last night at Briar Court Hotel, he's a nice bloke! When I watched him and Clayt's train with the development squad, late last year, just after the boxing match. Martin was the only one to say Hi to me as they walked off to the dressing rooms. Clayt's just sulked past looking like he'd just had his arse slapped.

In that case, let's keep Paterson and jettison Clayton.

I think that he may have decided to give it another go because perhaps there were issues with the previous coaching team. His outlook certainly seems to have taken a 180. Being a similar player to Wells is unfortunate for him as Wells is the man in possession, so he will be struggling to start this season. Unlike many on here though, I haven't given up on him and really want him to do well.

I'm sure we have all had a bad day and sulked a bit, after all we are all human (including footballers and actors). Let's keep them both and get the coaches to instill some pride and fight into them (not that kind of fight, though), coupled with good attacking tactics, for when a team decides to park the bus or break on the counter (like Scunny). Then we will succeed. Overall I am pleased with the pre-season so far and I think if Robins can come up with a plan B for such times, as mentioned above, we will be fine. Looking forward to the start of the season and especially as I will be back in Town for the first 6 matches - so bring it on.....

This is the "dire doom and despondency before we've kicked a ball in meaningful competition" board.

Hopefully the new coaches will be the key ingredient in our season.
