Surely this can't be true?! Leeds owner Massimo Cellino sacked keeper Paddy Kenny as he regards his birth date (17th May) as unlucky. (source: Guardian) He's almost as bad as Vincent Tan! That along with the fact that he's made them bring packed lunches to training to save costs is hilarious! Surely a suitable reason to sack Paddy Kenny is because he's fat, lazy and useless?! They don't even have any sub keepers...can't wait to see how our friends down the road cope next season! So long L**ds scum...

At the risk of making myself unpopular can we stop all these threads about Leeds. I personally couldn't give a shit about them. We are making ourselves look somewhat obsessed which is what we accuse them of with Man Utd.

It was probably more due to the fact Paddy Kenny was over 17 stone. Not laughing at Leeds (last time was the day before we got hammered last season) ... I'll allow myself a wry smile should we finish above them.

Think he just wanted rid of Kenny. He obviously thought shutting the canteen down would do the trick, but then had to come up with another plan.

That club has needed a shake-up for years. Now he's applying it, they may turn it around, so I'm not laughing just yet.

Best bet is if you see leeds in the title, or if you open then as soon as you realise... Then just exit and read something else

This is the hope I currently cling to plus the fact that as mad as our new El Presidente seems he has sold another team to heavily invest in ours and is clearing out all the deadwood quick sharp. Can't imagine he is that much of a fool with all that money you would assume there is a plan in place. With our transfer embargo now lifted, new signings expected in, yes many may be Italian but can't be worse than third rate English dross we have had. A few mumblings of positiveness about our no name Wackaday Manager's training methods from players who had initially treated him as a joke then maybe we might be onto something. A very interesting pre season and early season awaits for us, even Sky have picked our first home game v Boro surprise surprise! Forza Leeds or Laughing Stock Leeds ? Nobody knows till it pans out but life as a Leeds Fan at the moment is far from dull or likely to be anytime soon.

The reality? A mid table finish maybe a couple of wins shy of a play off spot. Cellino's biggest problem though, will be you, the Leeds fans. You've already blockaded him into the ground for trying to sack a manager who you all agreed should be sacked, and the wackaday comments are more popular with the Leeds fans than anybody else. So what's the prediction? If you get off to a winning start Cellino will be Bella Bella for the first few months of the season. However, lose a few early, you and you're chest pumping mates will turn faster than Lewis Hamilton on the Parabolica. I like what he is trying to do, he could be brilliant for English Football and bring a completely different approach to our game, but there is no way that Leeds fans will tolerate him unless they regularly win games. I can see Cellino now, 2 years time "The Leedsa Fans, they fackin crazy!, they thinka they are a champions of Europe. It's all a shit - Bullshit."

Mel, at today's odds we are 6th Favourites for the drop which with our current squad wouldn't argue too much with. However such early days for everyone in transfer terms who knows what our squad, your squad or any bodies will be. Would agree that many of our number are as kneejerk as any other set of fans and if you are bothered to scan our message boards most involve Leeds Fans bickering with eachother at the minute just as I see Town Fans doing on here over different subjects. All teams thrive on the momentum a good start would give them, possibly us more than most especially this season. Win a few on the bounce, crowds will flood back, players get into a winning mentality and our money laden Italian eccentric may even gamble a bit more on players if he sees the riches of the greedy league within a realistic grasp. We are as fickle as any fans if not more so and honestly do not have a clue if we will crash and burn or reach for the sun (how shit were S-Club 7!) Lets get this shitty World Cup nonsense out of the way and let Cellino and Deano fight over which World Cup Stars they will bring to West Yorkshire!

Leeds need to get back to basics. the club is losing money. the players are overpayed. the ground is unfit for human habitation. the supporters need a reality check.
there is no doubt the club is big enough to be pushing, but it will take a while and the supporters have to realise that there is no quick fix for the shit leeds are in. Cellino is obviously the one calling the shots as far as the team is concerned, and i would not at all be surprised if we see a team of itallians take to the field for them next season.
Hockaday? He's just a fall guy.
Will it be interesting? It depends on how you define interesting.
As shown in our last two seasons at this level.. you can compete but when things start to go wrong it is really difficult to sort out. Can the lack of experience at leeds handle the pressures that come with that? I dunno.

Most football fans still dont seem to have grasped how FFP regulations work. He will simply NOT be able to do that. Any money of his own will just go towards meeting the allowable loss. Players you sign will be free, and will be on low wages, there will be no stars. Have you LOOKED at how he ran Cagliari, in a league system that wasnt bound by financial controls? The only transfer fees in Cagliari are from the airport.

I hope you have some stout evidence to back up that outrageous claim Ted, you have to remember I live and work amongst you and kind of know how you all think, even marrying into a Town Season Ticket Holding Family (who are totally unaware I post on here by the way!) After once witnessing 2 x drunken blokes in The Crown presumably after an all day sesh watching Town argueing ref. Terry the Terrier looking more like Basil The Brush (his description) and it virtually ending in physical violence I am fully aware of the types I am dealing with on here

After working in Leeds for 8 years I have seen all kinds of pondlife around the city centre causing trouble for no apparent reason...
Glad to be out of there!
