SSN: Leeds United have brought an abrupt end to Switzerland international defender Jonathan Rossini's season-long loan deal and the 25-year-old has been sent back to his club Sassuolo, with club owner Massimo Cellino says Rossini's "attitude" was not right. " We want special players at Leeds United. Rossini didn’t show enough during the three days he trained with the rest of the team" That really smells of the chairman at the training ground deciding who plays, doesn't play, leaves, comes in. Why doesn't Cellino just come clean and tell everyone HE'S the manager now?

Why doesn't Cellino just come clean and tell everyone HE'S the manager now? I think he more or less has. That is certainly the reason why he appointed Hockaday: Cellino wants to manage all aspects of the club from top to bottom but needs a monkey to do the training and match-day stuff. Hockaday in the meantime gets a bigger profile and a thicker wallet. Various quotes supporting this: “I manage the club,” Cellino says. “That is my responsibility. What I need is a coach, a great coach. That’s clear." “I was raised as a manager, not as a bulls**t president who puts his tie on, eats some roast beef and f***s off home. I look after everything.” "I didn't buy any players before choosing the coach. I was waiting to choose the coach first, and then make the decision. He asks for what he needs, we know how he's going to play, we know what we can afford - the financial part and the technical part must get along together." "I like to buy players, I love to help the coach. I want to make him good."

I also stumbled across this gem of a quote from the Generalissimo himself:
'He says that in several of his years as president of Cagliari he decided not to bother with season tickets. "Why not? “Because I was p****d off with the fans or I wasn’t sure of my engagement with them. So I say ‘no season tickets. You pay three times more.” Surely that upset them? “Yes but sometimes if we don’t win, if the team play bad, I give them back their money. I’m a player, a man who likes to play. We have fun.”
Should get interesting for the Elland Road faithful should they take get sick of his shenanigans. Its certainly a case of 'its my way or I'll make things worse for you'.

Oh dear. Its looking like one of those things that'll go surprisingly well, or go spectacularly badly. Think the latter is more likely somehow.

Well I don't know about anybody else, but I actually do like the bloke, as he adds some much needed character to the game. Football is all about entertainment, and there's no questioning that this bloke's entertaining (Jesus, the blokes more unpredictable than me, and I'm bloody bi-polar! ). I'm almost envious of the Leeds fans at the moment, whatever happens it will be a season they will never ever forget, that I am quite certain of

I'm not saying I'd swap in a million years, I think we've got the best chairman we'll ever have, but I do think they are in for entertaining times (God knows in what way it will go though . In their situation, it can hardly be worse than the other folk they've had milking them dry over their recent history.

I've a feeling he'll turn Leeds round in a couple of years. Plus they'll probably finish above us this season. So we should be carefull taking the piss.
