TS18 here for me, and I sit within three seats of a guy who comes up from Cambridge with a Season Ticket every weekend. Ooops forgot, worked with a guy in Pharmacy who also has a season ticket from Stockton. Don't even share cars though, as we both have family to see etc. This is the effect that makes people think that "everyone comes from Mirfield", or "Town are more likely to concede straight after scoring". You sit within 3 seats of a chap from Cambridge and that stands out to you so people think, "oh, lots of people from outside Hudds come to watch Town"...when the reality is that pretty much all of the other folk that sit around you are likely to be from Hudds, but they dont stand out because theres nothing memorably significant about that. All football teams are LEAST likely to concede in the minutes immediately after scoring, its just that when it does occasionally happen, you roll your eyes with a "that was bound to happen, typical Town" face. Similarly corner kicks are not particularly good goal scoring opportunities, but theyre celebrated like wild when we get them, cos everyone remembers the goals we score from a corner.

I thought the majority of Town's support came from Millbridge WMC? Or is it a myth?

HD6 - Brighouse and Rastrick - thousands of Town fans, we could easily have defected to the " dark side " - many of my school mates did, not many who succumbed are right in the head these days - UTT !!

Interesting to know the volume increase from Bradford post codes, to see if any fair weather fans were aquired by the Nahki transfer

You know when you read something and even though its a fact ( as Im presuming those figures are) , you think to yourself that it can't possibly be right. This is one of those times. By those figures then we have about 1500- 2000 SC holders from places like Mirfield, dewsbury, Cleckmondsedge, halifax, wakey Leeds and those that travel from further afield COMBINED!!. Mirfield alone is full of Town fans. seems inplausable to me. I wonder how many are in HD6 ie Briggas and Rastrick too? Seven in my group

I am in the database as HD9 but live in LS7. Distorts the figures ever so slightly.

If anyone bothered to read the original article on the Official website properly it said "WITHIN Huddersfield 16.25% of Season Card holders come from the HD9 etc. .......... No mention of what % of total season ticket sales were from HD www.htafc.com/news/article/season-cards-south-africa-sale-1720604.aspxI have it on good authority that less than 50% of sales come from the HD area

North Kirklees is a shithole people that end won't be able to afford season tickets. Isn't Dean Hoyle from Heckmondwike originally? North And now lives in Upper Hopton? North I remember the 60s when Hopton was that dirty, even the rats wore overalls. These days we see trout and salmon swimming below the Hopton calder weir ,and not a soap barrel to be seen. We could never fish that lenth in the late 60S/ early 70S as it was covered in 2 foot of white soap froth which came down from Brighouse.

If that was the case all the different percentages would add up to 100%, which they don't.

It's not at all well written but I'd agree with your interpretation - similar percentages to the ones I saw in 2003.. Where's HD1 though? (I don't have a SC so maybe I'm the only Town fan in this postcode)

16.25% of Season Card holders come from the HD9 postcode area (Holmfirth, New Mill, Brockholes); 15.44% from HD3 (Lindley, Milnsbridge, Oakes); 15.26% from HD5 (Almondbury, Dalton, Kirkheaton) and 13.3% in HD8 (Kirkburton, Emley, Shepley). 10.44% of 2014/15 Season Card holders currently come from the HD4 area (Berry Brow, Crosland Moor, Netherton) with 10.22% from HD7 (Golcar, Linthwaite, Marsden). That represents 80% of the breakdown, with most of the rest coming collectively from Halifax, Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield postcodes. Let battle commence! What about RG5 how many come from that post code?

It would only come to 100% if they'd included all the Huddersfield postcodes, but they didn't, they only gave examples

At last the myth that Town fans don't live in Huddersfield is dispelled!!! I'm a HD5 man. I've never heard of this 'myth'. Anyone else? If the majority didn't live in or around Hudds, where else would they be? We're not United. I honestly think I could count on one hand the amount of times I think I've knowingly (and randomly) bumped into a town fan who doesn't live in a 15 mile radius of Hudds. according to a previous post you live in london so you wont bump into many will you? ;-)

Pretty much every town fan I know lives outside of the HD areas. All the other Town fans I know all live in the HD areas. Which really doesn't mean anything as you probably don't know any Town fans in Huddersfield just like I don't know any in Mirfield. Doesn't mean no Town fans live in Huddersfield or a disproportionately amount live in Mirfield!!
