To me violence is violence and i agree with many of the comments on here who believe that there seem to be rules for one and rules for another . What was the difference between what Hammill did to those 2 innocent paramedics in Liverpool to what the Batley 3 did to the stewards at the play offs at Old Trafford ?? as both incidents were reported as violent and thugish that caused injury to innocent victims and both incidents badly tarnished the clubs image .So called justice gave the Batley 3 a prison sentence followed by a life ban by the club when Hammill whos incident in my opinion was far more serious was given a suspended sentence by the courts then offered a new contract by a so called family club and was arguably a case of a club showing double standards for a player who should be a roll model for Towns young supporters . i very much doubt that Hammill would pass a C R B check to represent the club in schools and i do realise that Past history has alot to do with a sentence but what ive seen happen on the terraces in my 52 years is nowhere as bad as to the violent attacks what ive witnessed on innocent victims when the pubs empty late on a friday/saturday night . Hell fire Torquay as gone downhill

Yes, that is exactly what this is like. Quick sub poll: Would you rather your college attending son come home saying he'd watched a fight and was going to get prosecuted, or be told he is a pathological liar who goes around creating a false persona and telling bizarre lies and stories to everyone, even after it's become clear no one on earth believes a word he says? How did he watch a fight? he pulled someone to the ground who as a result was kicked in the head by his mate.... The other 13 or so in the group, obviously watched the fight or they would have been up on charges as well. Cant understand the culture of sticking up for criminals. If he was innocent he would have been found innocent. On a subnote, As NSL are obviously attracting these kind of like minded (idiots) people by the obvious thoughts of those posting on here, as well as those just wanting to have a good time and support the club, I wonder how long it will take for one of these idiots to be pictured wearing one of the t-shirts or scarfs, kicking someones head in.... That will bring a quick end to the home end. Surely football supporters want to go to a game, enjoy the banter and rivalry , the atmosphere of match day and then get home safely. Im firmly behind the justice system and support them in bringing mindless violence to an end at a family orientated sporting event. Ive been to hundreds of sporting events, and never once become embroiled in any trouble, yet I know of people who say it follows them around... My answer to them, is NO. YOU follow it around. The NSL are attracting what exactly? Have you even spent a minute reading our site, what we want to achieve? Stop spouting rubbish. I used to laugh at your posts too...

Its always frustrated the shit out of me how people are always so keen about prosecuting the "apparent criminals" when the real ones are in control. Some lads have a bit of a scrap so we pay for them to go to prison, then probably there dole when they cant find work with prison on there cv. Iam totally against violence by the way, common sense is fading away.

Hope they share a room. Town duvet covers, coasters and mugs on the bedside table, matching Town towel dressing gowns on the back of the door. The new Town shop will do a bomb out of those two.

The main difference between different sentences for similar cases is generally how much money you have to spend on your defence. Thus in my opinion proving the whole justice system is corrupt and discriminates against less wealthy people for biggest human right freedom. Really when you look into it you can do whatever you like if your rich enough, even be a paedophile.

Another thing not mentioned on here was the amount of alcohol that Hammill consumed that fuelled the incident and since when has drinking 15 pints of lager and 4 vodka shots been part of Huddersfield Towns players fitness regime.

Super lopez, I don't post on here much anymore but judging by your comments on this thread and the reactions from other posters, you are probably one of the reasons I don't bother posting much. I see some bollocks posted on the Facebook pages and twitter but at least the posters are identifiable. You on the other hand are just an anonymous Internet troll who lacks the intelligence and social skills to engage in a debate.

As much as I was shocked and felt dirty I agreed with SuperLopez's anti violent stance. Fortunately, his NSL waffle without any grounding has restored natural order. Ok, I agree the NSL was a bit of waffle, but the organisers, should be mindful that not all supporters are like minded, and this topic proves that. Where a number of obviously committed supportes, who I share banter with and wind them up, I cant agree with them supporting people getting their heads kicked in at a football match, its not banter and its not funny.. simple. You could say that any fan from any stand could potentially be a football hooligan. Don't bring the NSL into this debate, all your doing is assuming the NSL will be attracting wrong ens. A lot of hard working people have put a lot into this NSL and a ball hasn't been kicked yet, don't drag the NSL name into this debate based on assumptions. No right minded fan who will frequent the NS will tolerate any form of hooliganism, family's sit 10 meters above.

I do know what one entails as I myself passed one easily despite a criminal record ...as for hammill he has done numerous schools visits since his conviction so either he passed one or it doesn't matter.

When i read this article in The Examiner i thought the sentences were harsh and still do. Lets face it, people get the crap beaten out of them every weekend in the town center, and the perpetrators! get fined. Its double standards and while there's no place for football violence these days in the modern game the courts are making an example when in a lot of cases, a banning order would work.

I think the sentence sounds a little harsh, But at the end of the day if you wrestle, pull, shove someone to the ground who your mate then kicks in the head then you are guilty of joint enterprise. Its like holding someones arms while your mate stabs them to death. Ok your mate killed them but you also killed them by not allowing their escape and allowing it to happen, Should you walk free if this happens? I have no sympathy with either of them, walking round Huddersfield on matchdays with Burberry gear on acting hard, finding trouble, and ultimately finding it and getting a stretch in the nick. Maybe this will put off new folk joining in, maybe it wont. But one thing is for sure, HTFC wont miss either of their support for the next 6 or 10 years. Burberry? When was the last time you saw someone wearing Burberry at the football? You know nothing about the culture, some of the people you refer to are loyal Town fans who've watched club for years home & away so I think yes they will miss their support. I took my gran to a game at the back end of last season.

I'm saying that these dick heads. .. Ted, Smithfield and the other clown I know as fat c*** Graeme are influential on this site, also influential In the NSL, yet they condone violence. Am I on my own in saying these people are a waste of breath. They simply need to say they don't agree with violence and i would have some respect for them... before today I thought although we Had a bit of banter about signings and pulled each others strings a little they were deep down decent lads.... obviously not. These neanderthals are a waste of space, air and blood. I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire. NSL should distance themselves from sympathises of idiots... or before long they will become known as idiots.

This is seriously funny . I'm now a hooligan sympathiser... And have three accomplices who have also not said one thing in "favour" of said social problem... And now we have a character called " fat c*** Graeme"... (who doesn't carry an ounce of fat if you were looking a bit closer when you walk through Hopton and Mirfield you might have seen that) .. Ill stick to being a "Neanderthal" and "influential" ... ( ) .. You stick to being the resident comedy turn ... The Mirfield Eric Morcambe

Hmmm, Im pretty sure that Huddersfield Town FC dont want them, or why would they then issue life bans to the same clowns.... I think your deluded. You are in a massive minority of the matchday crowd, that just go to watch football and hopefully enjoy the game. If not we would have 12000 idiots causing havoc, when actually I bet the number of people involved in any hooliganism is a relativly small % of the matchday crowd, which the much larger % could well do without. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
