Afternoon,
Does anybody know if this is going to be a full first team friendly? I know it is billed as "First Team" but so was Guiseley last week...considering going but think I will bother only if it is full team. Cheers,

I think gobern wouldn't actually be playing even if he was selected and started the game. He cant get up for a full league game so a friendly is out of the question.

Ward, Gerrard or Gobern aren't playing tomorrow. Has there been a press conference on it or news article? I got it from the news network. Also, two Chinese billionaires were at the stadium today. From the end of Examiner article on Robins looking at potential new signings.... Danny Ward (hamstring), Anthony Gerrard (calf) and Oscar Gobern (toe) will not be considered for the match at Bramall Lane.
“It’s too early for them, they need to do some training because of the length of time they’ve been out,” explained Robins.
“We will have a look at James Vaughan and see if he’s ready to have a go and, hopefully, by the time we get to the season we will have pretty much a full complement to pick from.”

wasn't trying to be helpful, just honest. gobern needs someone to do his running forward and another to track back for him, the only way he would get a regular start for anyone is if they let you start with 13...
lee clark said gobern was destined to be a good premiership player, doomed from the start im afraid..

Had a cracking game last time he played at Bramall Lane. Well, he had a cracking first half, like the rest of the team.

Vaughan won't play tonight, targeting Saturdays game at Oldham for a return to action. He will never get to Saturday without getting injured in training.

Vaughan won't play tonight, targeting Saturdays game at Oldham for a return to action. Think he will be lucky to play a third of games again, to say we have paid for all this treatment in USA and he's just come back from injury it's bloody sad for the club.

How many time do we need to hear pre-season is all about getting miles into their legs and performace/results dont matter..... Tell that to Van Gaal who has his 32 million pound left back training on his own because he isnt fit enough and said the team performace of man utd vs roma was terrible. Is trying to offload players like its going out of fashion and says these are the players I have and this is the only system I can play...
I wish van gaal was at town. This guy is going to take Man Utd from 7th place to dominating Europe very quickly. They are suddenly a team I follow. Especially if Keane joins us. Will sounds like he will be involved in the first team as he was mentioned in the same sentance as Hernadez and Welbeck.
3-4-1-2 system appears to be closer to what robins is setting up this year with lolley playing in the hole last game, so It may be we are seen as a good match for Utd kids and could prosper from one or two really good loan signings.
