Offtopic by the sounds of the report from the forest fan hes a 110%er so no probs there. In my opinion this is a quality signing.

Good signing, always liked the look of him Feel sorry for Holmes though, that's his pathway blocked for another year. Will be out on loan before the end of August Got to agree with you there. I bet Holmes is in a quandary right now. As a Town fan I really hope this Majewski deal turns out to be a great success, but I just can't see Holmes getting many opportunities now, so I'd expect him to go out on loan somewhere, probably till January.

But lets face it, based on what we saw from Holmes last season, he's NOT ready to be the new messiah and hold down a regular starting berth. And in fact, the signing of this lad on a one year deal actually keeps the "pathway" for Holmes wide open. He's got a year to develop and show he's up to the level we need and stake his claim so we don't have to sign another player in that mode next summer.

How can Holmes be in a quandy, a handful of appearances in his first professional year! Now it's time to develop and be ready to step in injuries/sub appearances/cup games in his second year as a pro. He's a prospect not the finished article.

Holmes will either work hard and learn from the new lad or he can sulk and throw a potentially good career down the swanny. its a long season and at least 2 games there will be aplace in the team as i guess he wont be able to play against forest. i think a loan somewhere for 3-6 months at a club not likly to be struggling may help him

Pleased with this signing, so we can make decent signings then? Yeah, just like Nahki Wells/Joe Lolley in the last transfer window, and Vaughan/Hammill/Hogg in the one before that.

Great signing, being realistic I can't think of anybody in that position who we could have got better than him. Barring an unknown premiership loanee (which is a big gamble).

He has some skills for shua but last season he didn't live up to his hype which has reduced his transfer value hugely. I wouldn't grumble if we signed him though.

Great signing. Exactly what we needed to open teams up from central midfield. Gives Duane another year to mature. Just a defender and a striker now please. Keane and Glen Murray would be great. Plus I'd take Mackay-Steven if we can offload scanz

Beneficial to us then if we are interested. I doubt that we are, but personally, I think he'd be a good addition. Certainly better than Scannell. They sold a CB to Hull today though. Maybe drives his price up as one of their remaining key players?

Identified sometime ago quoted MR. The question is--did we want to actually buy him rather than have him on loan? If he is successful and/or Forest get promotion would that help us.
