It appears the rumours are true..
Ross Wilson bribed the players to play shit for Robins so that he'd walk away. Now with no manager in his way Mr Wilson finally realises his main objective of taking control of the football, that explains all this transfer activity when we technically don't have a manager. Ross you evil mastermind you.

Presumably signed by the manager that sold Clayton, bought Butterfield and agreed for Norwood to be sold (if apparently so).
The invisible man!
Do not worry - the manager has the final say remember.
* If (big if) we are interested in him.

In the first two games our defence was bullied by Wilson, Kermorgant and Kenwyne Jones. One thing Collins would provide is aerial strength – something we miss without Gerrard.
At 34, a loan or one year deal though please.

@transfergenius_: Huddersfield have moved for Nottm Forest defender Danny Collins, However he favours a return to his native Brazil with Flamengo #htfc #nffc

Err manager required first please. I know we are desperate for a CH but 34 and manager to sanction the signing!
Seriously what the hell are we playing at, might as well have kept PC.

I personally hope we don't bring anyone in yet. Lets give a new man at least the chance to look at the squad and bring his own players in on loan. Coming into the job with nothing to spend at all isn't the most appealing portfolio..

Halford or Collins?? no brainer.. on loan or a signing Halford makes much more sense.

melc..
we go back to the old and trusted argument over who has the final say over signings(other than Deano of course)..??
If I got 'given' 11 players and told to 'crack on' id think twice..the blokes that gave you 'your team' are not likely to get the boot if they don't play for you.
a good manager can get extra from his squad but only to a point, it might work in the lower leagues having little or no leeway to make changes but the championship is quickly becoming a premier league in waiting..

Am sick of having so called footballing centre backs who cant concentrate and gift soft goals!! Ive yet to see a centre back at this level waltz around like beckenbauer - the good ones like morgan, duff, shackell, lascelles, hudson first and foremost defend their goal like their lives depend on it. Their job isnt to saunter past a player by dropping a shoulder its to make a last ditch block or compete for every set piece to ensure midfielders like andrews dont get soft goals!!

You could add one Peter Clarke to that list. Should have given him an extra year. (edit - just re-read post and you did!)

I've liked Greg Halford ever since I first saw him appear for Colchester United against Town at the old Layer Road ground. Very versatile, tall, speedy and got a great throw on him. He could lob them in from the right and Robinson can lob them in from the left........right onto Halford's head! He'd definitely do for me!
